Roasted red potatoes, garlic and pesto sauce. $4.75
Oz Pizza, San Francisco CA
Mmm, I love this pizza! It has SO much garlic and I love the pesto. I don’t even care if I get garlic breath – gimme the whole pie!

Parrots Pub, Sitges SPAIN
This is always a great place for an early happy hour. The service and the people watching are both great! Just sit back, relax, and sip the cold, sparkling cava!

Berberechos gallegos al vapor. €9.25
Saffron, Barcelona SPAIN
I enjoyed the flavor of these cockles and they tasted great, but they were a bit too much work to get what little meat there was inside. If I try them again, I’d get the version that’s already shelled.

Chef’s choice, mignonette. Happy hour $1 each
Cockscomb, San Francisco CA
I made sure that these oysters were small prior to ordering them, although I can’t quite remember the variety. Anyway, these were yummy and cleanly shucked. Sorry for the blurry pic. 😦

Cava Brut Rva. D.O Penedes. €4.50
El Vivero, Sitges SPAIN
This place was my favorite new discovery in Sitges. The restaurant is three levels with the main restaurant on the lower floor. It’s on the north end of town, and the only restaurant (that I’ve been to in Sitges) that’s actually on the water (on the side of a cliff actually). And the views are amazing! The place is also really fun especially during the happy hour when they have a DJ spinning. SO much fun!

Massamara, Barcelona SPAIN
This danish looked great and tasted good too. I liked how it was folded over and had the raspberry filling peeking out on the sides.

Cucumber, dill-yogurt, pickled pearl onions, toasted sesame seeds. $16
Tosca Cafe, San Francisco CA
This salad was pretty tasty. It’s kinda weird that I liked the buttery croutons the best, and not the tomatoes, hehe. I’m such a crouton fiend! Really though, this salad was great and the dill yogurt was different and yummy.

Menu of the day €16.50
El Rincon de Pepe, Sitges SPAIN
This bread with tomato was lovely. The bread was thick and crusty and the tomato was fresh and bright. It was so good, that I think I asked for a second plate. Hehe!

Soft buttermilk soaked halloumi dipped in chip shop batter, served with vodka-spiked preserved plum tomatoes, bright fresh pea mint hash with pickled quails egg, sea salad tartar and thick chips, finished with lemony Yemeni relish. £15.85
Terre a Terre, Brighton ENGLAND
I really enjoyed this plate! I think I enjoyed the vodka-spiked tomatoes the most, lol. That just goes to show how much I love my vodka! All the components of this dish were really good though.

American cheese, onion, lettuce, pickle, special sauce. $6.25
Popsons Burgers, San Francisco CA
These burgers were really tasty. They were simple, but I loved how the patties were cooked. They were nice and crispy-crusty on the outside. Their special sauce was also yummy, and I wish they put more of it on the burger. Mmm…

Vina Albali. €5.50
Gatwick (LGW) to Barcelona (BCN), Vueling Airlines
This was a fairly short(ish) flight, but I really needed a drink especially since it was delayed taking off. And because I’m on vacation so I can drink as much as I want, lol! Anyway, this white wine was ok, but the service from the Spanish crew was great.

Artisanal spicy chorizo, served with pan on tomate, coarse mustard. €4.50
Mikkeller Bar, Barcelona SPAIN
I loved the texture of this chorizo! I could have sworn they were flash fried, but I’m now sure. Perhaps they were just really dry cured. Regardless, they were delicious and their pan con tomate were some of the best of the trip.
