Pork fat, garlic, rosemary. $8

Delicious potatoes fried in pork fat – how can you go wrong?! They were still nice and fluffy inside and they tasted great with the garlic and rosemary flavors. Yum!

Cooked with onions and flambeed with Valdespino. Menu of the day €16.50
El Rincon de Pepe, Sitges SPAIN
These lobster were tiny and the size of prawns, but they were really fun to eat. It took a bit of work to get a good amount of meat from them, but that was part of the fun. I loved the caramelized onions and the flavor from the sherry. Mmm…

Le Gourmet Delicates’s Coffee & Tea, Barcelona SPAIN
I liked this pastry – the fun shape, the flaky shell, and the combination of chocolate filling and chocolate sprinkles. It was a nice lil sugar bomb to keep the energy going for more touristy things. Hehe!

Celery-Fiji apple slaw, mayo, pickle, bun. $8
The Bird, San Francisco CA
This was from the first week they were open. Omg, I loved this chicken sandwich. They use chicken thighs and their spicy seasoning is SO tasty! The chicken is perfectly fried and super juicy. I also loved their apple slaw in combination with the pickles and their soft toasted bun. They also have homemade sriracha sauce to add even more flavor with each bite. I’m definitely coming here often for lunch at work!

Veal patty, wheat bun, provolone cheese, tomato and lettuce. €8.90
Oval, Barcelona SPAIN
I liked the concept of this restaurant – they provide menus where you mark all your burger options. I wasn’t impress by the burger itself though. It was kinda bland and boring.

Ham flavored potato chips. €1.50
Bar Les Cascades, Barcelona SPAIN
This Ruffles flavor is SO salty compared to those that we have in the States, but I love this ham flavor so much anyway! I wish they sold this in the US. I bought some drinks to go along with it since it was a hot day.

Pickled peppers and country ham puree. Happy hour $4
Cockscomb, San Francisco CA
I know that this pic is on the dark side, but rest assured that the potatoes were delicious! I thought they were perfectly fried and the toppings were yummy. And only four bucks, folks!

Octopus ceviche. €9.15
The Chipiron, Barcelona SPAIN
I liked the flavor of this ceviche, but it was marinated for too long or something. The octopus was both rubbery and grainy at the same time (if that’s possible). Hmm, I was not impressed. And the portion was pretty small. 😦

Cava.

Cigrons Pinotxo. €6.00
Pinotxo Bar, Barcelona SPAIN
Omg, these garbanzo beans (chickpeas) were SO good! I don’t know what they marinate it with or the sauce that they toss it in, but it was extremely tasty. I could have had a huge bowl of this and called it meal. Mmm…

Cucumber, dill-yogurt, pickled pearl onions, toasted sesame seeds. $16
Tosca Cafe, San Francisco CA
Mmm, this bread was really delicious! It was fluffy and soft on the inside, and the outside was beautifully covered in butter, garlic, and topped with cheese. More, please!

With fruits, cheeses, and vinaigrette of forest fruits. Menu of the day €16.50
El Rincon de Pepe, Sitges SPAIN
I’m not sure what “forest fruits” are (lol), but I think it was a strawberry vinaigrette. I liked this salad, it had a little bit of everything between all the fruit and cheeses.

Potato rosti bursting with fresh turmeric, ginger, coriander and black mustard seeds flavours. Heaped with podi toor spice paste, packed spinach and pachadi pickle of preserved garlic tamarind tomato. Served with coconut yogurt raita and tandoori halloumi finished with pickled pink onion and green chili slivers and good temper.. £15.85
Terre a Terre, Brighton ENGLAND
There was a lot going on on this plate – I didn’t even know where to start! The flavors were wonderful though and the dish was bright and vibrant. Yay!
