Celery root and coleslaw on white. $10
The Sentinel, San Francisco CA
Meh, this was probably one of my least favorite sandwiches from Sentinel. The pork wasn’t spicy at all and I thought the flavors were muddled.

Bbq rib, fried butterflied shrimp, orange chicken, beef stir fry, egg roll, chicken strips, vegetable and shrimp tempura. Seafood buffet $24.99
Oasis Buffet, Palm Springs CA
The lil fat kid in me can’t say “no” to a buffet, lol! I know they’re never going to be good, but I like having all the options. Oasis Buffet was actually decent and had a nice variety of items.

Sherman’s favorite served on a French roll, with cottage fries. $13.95
Sherman’s Deli and Bakery, Palm Springs CA
Another gigantic sandwich that I couldn’t finish! I swear that half a sandwich is all I can manage whenever I’m at Sherman’s. I don’t mind though because that just means I get to take some home and enjoy it for later. The brisket was delicious and the fires were also pretty tasty.

Honey, nigella seed, cashew, serrano chile, yogurt. $16
Aziza, San Francisco CA
These chicken wings were scrumptious! They were plump and juicy and the flavors were delicious. I loved the Mediterranean flavors and all the different textures from the fun presentation.

Strawberry filled pate choux. Complimentary with check

Beef brisket, pulled pork shoulder, pulled smoked turkey, with B&B pickles, coleslaw, potato salad, white bread. $15
4505 Meats, San Francisco CA
I love going to the Ferry Building and getting 4505 Meats for lunch. Their bbq is SO good and it’s always nice to get out of the office and stroll over to the Embarcadero. I think that $15 a plate is pushing it on lunch pricing, but the food is SO tasty that I can’t complain too much.

Fresh scallions, hoisin sauce and buns. $20
Hong Kong Lounge II, San Francisco CA
Mmm, this peking duck was great. I loved all the delicious skin and the meat was tender and flavorful. The buns were a bit on the dry side though and they kept tearing.

Scallions, hoisin sauce, and cucumbers.

Bulleit bourbon, bitters, luxardo cherry. $14
The View, San Francisco CA
The views from this bar are definitely breathtaking, but you certainly pay the price with the drinks. I guess it’s actually normal hotel drink prices, but it kind sucks that because the lounge is so spread out, it’s very difficult to get prompt service.

Thai papaya salad with mixed with dried shrimp, fresh garlic, chili, lemon and fish sauce. $7.50
Sai Jai Thai Restaurant, San Francisco
Um, I was NOT a fan of this. The papaya salad was good enough, but the salty crab was not my style. It was slimy and super hard. You couldn’t bite through it and I don’t think that there was much meat in there, so I’m not sure that it was even edible. I would have loved to have someone instruct me on how to eat those crab pieces.

Barley, English peas, pea tendrils. $32
Aziza, San Francisco CA
Wow, I loved this. The sauce was especially delicious and the plate was beautiful! The lamb tasted great but it came out more rare than I wanted. I couldn’t eat much of the center of the loin portion.

Concord grape cocktail: elderflower, peat smoke, laphroaig, scotch. $12
Manhattan. $9

San Marzano tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella, extra-virgin olive oil, fresh basil, sea salt. $25
Una Pizza Napoletana, San Francisco CA
This tasted great, but I still wasn’t a fan of the thick doughy crust. The toppings were wonderful though. It was great watching the owner make all the pizzas though.

Anthony Mangieri busy making pizzas.

Pizza oven.

$10
Hong Kong Lounge II, San Francisco CA
I love soft shell crab and this actually had a good flavor, but it was SUPER greasy! I like the texture and flavor of tempura fried food, but they didn’t do a good job of executing this. Lame! And I’m going to mention that horrible management scandal complete with employee harassment and under-payment. Extra FAIL!

Cole slaw, bbq beans, topped with spicy bacon aioli, bbq sauce and finished with a seasoned fried egg. $12
The Boneyard, San Francisco CA
Wow, this was delicious! The brisket was tender and smokey, and the entire bowl was jam packed with wonderful flavors and textures. The sunny side egg was also a perfect topping. NOMS!
