With cheddar cheese. $7.75
Seasoned curly fries with ranch dressing. $3.50
Bistro Burger, San Francisco CA
I ordered my patty cooked medium, but it came out well done and dry. Lame! The curly fries were good though and not too greasy.

The Sentinel, San Francisco CA

Mmm, breakfast pastries from The Sentinel are SO delicious! I loved the chunks of sweet tender strawberries throughout the muffin.

$8.50
Red Jade, San Francisco CA
These were greasy and salty, but I still like it – lol! I’m a sucker for Chinese eggplant dishes. The saucier, the better!

Chicken breast stuffed with Iron Cactus corn bread and cheddar cheese, topped with jalapeño cream sauce. Served with Mexican rice and garlic herb broccoli. $9.99
Iron Cactus, San Antonio TX
Ugh, this was gross. It was super rich but somehow really bland at the same time. I didn’t like anything about this plate.

Stash IPA. $6

“Chantilly” ice cream. 3 course tasting menu (earlybird) $35
Restaurant Gwendolyn, San Antonio TX
This was not good! The funnel cake was SO greasy and it just soaked into everything – yuck! I couldn’t get over the excessive amount of grease in this dessert (and that huge inedible leaf was annoying).

Crisp tempura, red pepper aioli. $12
Luke, San Antonio TX
This was fun! The tempura fried shrimp had a great texture and the red pepper aioli tasted great with it.

French 75: cognac, lemon, champagne. Happy hour $5

Fresh avocado, Texas grown portabellas, flash fried, lime crema dipping sauce. $7.99
Iron Cactus, San Antonio TX
These were surprisingly bland! And they were SO heavy that you could only eat a couple before feeling gross and disgusting. Not my favorite…

Chips and salsa. Complimentary

Brandy creme anglaise, bacon jam. 3 course tasting menu (earlybird) $35
Restaurant Gwendolyn, San Antonio TX
This cake was pretty darn tasty and the bacon jam was a surprisingly wonderful addition. The cake wasn’t too sweet which was perfect, and the vanilla ice cream just brought everything together.

Fancy siphon coffee service.

Coffee. $6

Duck sautéed with spicy Mexican sausage, tomatoes, onions and topped with cabbage lime slaw. $14.95
Acenar, San Antonio TX
This tasted great. I loved the duck which I thought was an unexpected option for Mexican food. It was packed with flavor and quite filling. Mmm…

Mexican rice and refried beans.

Lone Star. $4

Cocktail sauce, horseradish, lemon. Each $0.75
Luke, San Antonio TX
These pretty good. Not the best or freshest, but definitely good for 75 cents during happy hour. The staff was super friendly and professional.

Sunshine & Whiskey: Rebecca Creek whiskey, b&b liqueur, honey, lemon. Happy hour $5

Kimchi, avocado, charred green onion crema, pickled pork skins. $s
The Monterey, San Antonio TX
This was a hot mess! It was just a bunch of crap thrown together on a big fried chicharron and they really didn’t taste good together. #fail

Two eggs over medium topped with ranchero sauce, pork patties, refried beans, breakfast potatoes, and tortillas. $10.25
Mi Tierra Cafe, San Antonio TX
I loved this place. This line was crazy, but I didn’t have to wait ridiculously long. The food was great as was the service so it made up for the wait. I love the atmosphere and everyone just seemed happy to be there. Yay!

Tortillas.

Chips and salsa. Complimentary

Shiner Bock. $4.79
