Gross, this was probably the most disgusting breakfast item I’ve had in a while! There were huge globs of baking soda (or powder?) THROUGHOUT the scone and it tasted like crap. Someone should tell them that they need to mix in all the ingredients properly so that customers aren’t eating pockets of powder with every bite. $3.50

I’ve had the spiced chocolate doughnut here a couple times now, and I’ve got to say that I actually like this chocolate rise doughnut better. The chocolate spice has a weird aftertaste that I’m not fond of. This donut was moist and had a rich dark chocolate flavor, noms! $3

I’m a big fan of hazelnut flavors for breakfast and so are millions of others (Nutella anyone?). This hazelnut twist was surprisingly hearty for a treat that only cost two fifty. I loved the texture of the crushed hazelnuts and the sweet glazed dough. Mmm! $2.50

Why do Starbucks stores in other countries serve such better quality bakery items?! I mean, Starbucks originated in the US. Why should be punished with these horrible products? 😦

This place was probably the most unrelaxing coffee shop I’ve been to in London (and anywhere else actually). The woman serving the drinks was really pushing the food, so we felt uncomfortable taking up space with only coffee. Hardly anybody else around us was eating, but there was that hanging pressure to buy food to justify your stay. Super lame! I will never go back to the place especially since it’s surrounded by so many great coffee shops.

It started drizzling one afternoon so we decided to duck into Caffe Nero to relax and people watch. The coffee was pretty tasty and the chocolate twist was delicious. The pastry was flaky on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The chocolate wasn’t overly sweet so that was also a good thing.

I think the bakery items at Starbucks taste like crap (at least at the U.S. stores), but if it’s the only coffee shop open at a small airport when it’s really early in the morning, I’m not past buying one. I swear these muffins have no flavor and taste like cardboard so you really need the coffee to help wash it down.. $2.59

Hadn’t tried this flavor of their ice blended drinks before, and I think it is my favorite so far! I love the combination of cherry and chocolate, and the bits of chocolate covered espresso beans are fun to eat.

There are many coffee companies in San Francisco, but Philz is STILL my favorite! Their coffee is delicious, they are the most consistent, and the their many flavors are very distinct. Mmm, makes we want to take another coffee break!
