Project 365: Day 56

Finished my training course today, yay! Now back to the office and the daily grind, sadness. The day has gone by quickly though since I had to work in two locations. Heading to the gym after work and getting dry cleaning on the way home. I need to pack some dress clothes for the Ohio trip in case we have a fancy dinner one night. Hope not since I want to keep it casual, but at least the food should be tasty if we do!

This sandwich was SO good! I love the soft focaccia and the corned beef was really delicious! I’m not sure if I’ve had Russian dressing before (I’ve read that Thousand Island is a variant though) but it worked well with the cabbage “slaw”. Noms!

Like most items at Ebisu in International Terminal G, this soup is VERY salty! The broth has pretty good flavor, but I don’t think I can ever finish an entire bowl of this because of the high salt level. This is an interesting bowl of soup though because all the vegetables are all cut long and thin so they look and work well with the buckwheat soba noodles. Just wish

Ok, normally I’d be bitching and moaning about a sandwich that costs more than ten dollars, but the sandwiches at Ike’s are pretty large and super tasty! They have SO many sandwich options, that you should definitely go online and choose what you want first before heading over since they don’t post all the options at the store.

This sandwich was REALLY good! I loved the halal chicken with the honey, honey mustard, and bbq combo! Throw some dirty sauce in there and you’re in sauce heaven!

Omg, another great entree! This slab of a pork chop (it’s two frickin’ portions) was huge and delicous! I loved the salsa verde on top, it tasted amazing and the meat itself was cooked perfectly. It was SO tender and easy to cut. There are only a few entree items that Fish & Farm has kept on their menu since they’ve opened and this is one of them, and for good reason! I’ll admit that I wasn’t a huge fan of the stuff underneath though. It seemed a little clunky and superfluous compared to the amazing pork chop. I think the pork would do better on top of some sort of vegetable root puree. That way the pork gets to shine without the unnecessary distractions.
