Crispy coronation chicken sandwich – The Cavalier

Crispy coronation chicken sandwich - The Cavalier
Spiced curry aioli, gem lettuce and coriander sprouts, served with salad of seasonal greens. $15
The Cavalier, San Francisco CA

This sandwich was pretty good, but I was so appalled by the horrible service that I could not enjoy my lunch. I literally ate about half of this sandwich and left. Bad service doesn’t deserve a return visit. Way to go, Cavalier! 😦

Absinthe hamburger – Absinthe

Absinthe hamburger - Absinthe
Piedmontese beef chuck and brisket, aioli, gem lettuce, red onion, house-made pickles, french fries. Add fried egg. $18
Absinthe, San Francisco CA

This burger was very tasty, and very filling! I also love the hot, crispy French fries. I’m not sure why I thought I needed this and the soft pretzel rolls while eating alone for lunch. I was stuffed! But very content. πŸ™‚

Chicken cellophane noodle soup – Joy Hing BBQ Noodle House

Chicken cellophane noodle soup - Joy Hing BBQ Noodle House
Mien ga long with bok choy, red onion, cilantro. Large $9.50
Joy Hing BBQ Noodle House, San Francisco CA

This was good, but it didn’t even begin to fill me up! They were pretty skimpy with the chicken so I even had to add bok choy to make it more substantial. I do like their garlic onion sauce though! I just pour the entire thing it into the soup and it makes it extra tasty.
