Nashville chicken and waffles – The Fremont Diner

Nashville chicken and waffles - The Fremont Diner
Spicy fried chicken served with corn sorghum waffle, butter, and vanilla cinnamon syrup. $15.99
The Fremont Diner, Sonoma CA

This was delicious! The chicken was a little greasy, but I loved the seasoning and the heat. I didn’t think it was very spicy, but I do love me some Nashville hot chicken! The waffle was also really tasty especially with some of the syrup on top.

Spicy hot jumbo wings – Red Hot & Blue

Spicy hot jumbo wings - Red Hot & Blue
Served with ranch dressing, celery, carrots. 10 wings $9.50
Red Hot & Blue, Herndon VA

Apparently this place has closed since my visit. I’m not surprised. The food was marginal. I’m not even sure why they called these chicken wings “jumbo” since they were fairly small. They were also over-cooked and dry. The bartender was friendly though.

Spicy bbq chicken & crispy chicken – Sorabol

Spicy bbq chicken & crispy chicken - Sorabol
With steamed broccoli and brown rice. $10.95
Sorabol, San Francisco CA

I will say that even though the Korean food at Sorabol is no where near the best, they are definitely consistent which is a huge plus in my book. You’re always certain what you’re gonna get and there aren’t any surprises. And you get a lot of food for a decent price – a rarity when it comes to downtown lunches in San Francisco.

Chicken wings – Frida’s Mexican Grill

Chicken wings - Frida's Mexican Grill
With chipotle chile and ranch dressing dip. Happy hour $5
Frida’s Mexican Grill, Napa CA

I was a little disappointed with these wings, partly because they looked so sad and lonely arranged on the plate. I guess 5 tiny wings look weird when they’re placed singly on a plate. And these wings were definitely frozen and of poor quality.

House margarita - Frida's Mexican Grill
House margarita. Happy hour $3
Not the best tasting, but I really can’t complain for three bucks.
