Butter lettuce and Fuji apple salad – Town Hall

Butter lettuce and Fuji apple salad - Town Hall
Candied walnut, radish, Pt. Reyes blue cheese dressing. $12.50
Town Hall, San Francisco CA

Mmm, this salad was pretty tasty with all the classic flavor combinations. I’m a huge fan of Point Reyes blue because this local cheese company produces great products. And the dressing that Town Hall created with the blue cheese was delicious!

Scrambled eggs with fresh goat cheese – Boulettes Larder

Scrambled eggs with fresh goat cheese - Boulettes Larder
With butter lettuce, lemon oil, sea salt. $15
Boulettes Larder, San Francisco CA

Omg, these eggs were frickin’ amazing! They were the most perfect soft scramble I’ve ever had. I thought that the goat cheese might make the eggs too heavy or make their texture too dense, but they didn’t. The cheese added a great flavor and silky texture to the eggs. The coarse pepper and seat salt added even more flavor and a crunchy texture, and the lemon oil added brightness. Even the beautifully separated butter lettuce leaves were perfect and tasted great with the delicate eggs. Noms!! Fiftenn dollars for scrambled eggs you ask? I’d pay it again in a heartbeat for these sublime eggs.

Table salt and coarse pepper. I like the wooden bark scooper!

Elephant door handles, Castro Street
Elephant door handles, Castro Street. There is something about elephant door handles that I find really cool. These are more in the likeness of Asian elephants than African. I’m not a fan of the garage door colors, but I like the finish of the elephant handles.

Fresh local dungeness crab sandwich – Farley Bar

Fresh local dungeness crab sandwich - Farley Bar

Farley Bar, Sausalito CA

Fresh local dungeness crab sandwich - Farley Bar
This sandwich was SO good! The crab was delicious and they weren’t skimpy with it either. And do I even have to say anything about the bacon – omg, loved it! This sandwich was also quite large so David and I had a hard time finishing it, but there was no way we were going to let it go to waste!

Don’t think that the waffle fries were a throw away either. They were absolutely delicious and perfectly fried. And that roasted onion dip – amazing! We were SO full that we unfortunately had to leave some of this on the plate, hehe.

Old Story – Bisou

Bisou burger
Bisou burger served with Choron sauce, butter lettuce, tomato, red onion, apple wood bacon, and Morbier cheese.  Side frisée salad and French fries.

Bisou, San Francisco

This is a large burger made decadent with the addition of Choron sauce, apple wood bacon and Morbier cheese.  You could even add seared foie gras for $5!  The lightly dressed frisée salad helped to balance out the heavy burger.  No point in counting calories here, especially with a large bowl of French fries!
