Sausage link and patty, bacon, scrambled eggs. Complimentary
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, American Canyon CA
Meh, the usual breakfast with the usual items. I’m not really excited about these buffets. The food is sub-par and boring.

Bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, wheat bread.
Affinity Restaurant & Bar, San Jose CA
Ugh, this breakfast was pretty lame. The eggs were gross and dry and everything was lifeless. Boo!

Classic savory biscuit made with grated cheddar cheese. $3
Biscuit Bender, San Francisco CA
I liked this biscuit. It was light and flaky, slightly baking powder-y, and the center was soft and remained a bit doughy. The cheddar cheese tasted great and provided another textural component. Mmm…

$1.50
Arizmendi Bakery, San Francisco CA
The bread products from Arizmendi are amazing when they’re warm and fresh out of the oven. This focaccia was already cold, so it was a bit hard and lacked the usually buttery flavor I’m used to.

Scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, blintz, pasty.
15 Ria, Washington DC
This breakfast buffet was decent. I liked the bacon and pastry, and the potatoes were more flavorful than the usual buffet variety.

Scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, wheat toast. $13
Woodlands Restaurant, Flagstaff AZ
Ugh, this breakfast buffet was mediocre at best. The service was wonderful though and the meal was complimentary so I can’t complain too much.

$2.75
Cafe Besalu, Seattle WA
Mmm, this bun was pretty AND yummy! I loved the nuts buried within its folds and it tasted great with the coffee.

Coffee. Tall $2

Buttermilk biscuit, 2 scrambled eggs, lemon garlic aioli, pepper jack cheese, avocado, bacon. $6.75
Devil’s Teeth Baking Company, San Francisco CA
I love a place where you can relax and have a long conversation with friends without being bothered by work. When the register lady is doing that with the customer in front of you, not so much. Crappy, loud, annoying service always makes your food taste bad.
7×7 Magazine’s Big Eat SF: 100 Things to Try Before You Die

Savory prosciutto and cheese danish. $6
Hearth Coffee Roasters, San Francisco CA

This was flaky, buttery, savory, and delicious! It was pretty sizable and I almost couldn’t finish it. Almost, lol!

Coffee. $3.50

$3
The Sentinel, San Francisco CA

Mmm, breakfast pastries from The Sentinel are SO delicious! I loved the chunks of sweet tender strawberries throughout the muffin.

Almond croissant. $4
Orange and pomegranate financiers. Two for $1.50
La Boulangerie, San Antonio TX
The service was nice and friendly, but I was not impressed by these pastries. The almond croissant was dry and the financiers were kinda boring. Overall, this wasn’t a successful visit.

Coffee. $3

Rose Kennedy cocktail (vodka, cranberry, splash of soda), coffe, blueberry mini muffin. Complimentary
Red Carpet Club, San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
Airports always become less stressful when you have access to airline lounges. I love getting complimentary drinks and snacks, and most importantly free reliable wifi.
