Frozen yogurt cup – Eddie’s Frozen Yogurt

Frozen yogurt cup - Eddie's Frozen Yogurt
Topped with caramel popcorn and Heath bar. $2.30
Eddie’s Frozen Yogurt, Palm Springs CA

Ugh, this was kinda gross! All the yogurt flavors tasted super synthetic and weird. I opted for two different flavors (the least offensive ones) and only got a little bit of them. I really need a sugar fix otherwise I would have passed.

Mexican chicken caesar – Bongo Johnny’s

Mexican chicken caesar - Bongo Johnny's
Grilled chicken breast, queso fresco, romaine lettuce, pepitas, tomatoes, and housemade tri-color corn chips, tossed in garlic, olive oil, and cilantro dressing. $11.95
Bongo Johnny’s, Palm Springs CA

I enjoyed this. It was one of the few lighter items on their menu, but it didn’t lack in flavor. The chicken was also pretty tender despite my weariness of grilled whole breast because they dry out pretty quickly.

Calamari fritti – Zin American Bistro

Calamari fritti - Zin American Bistro
Special house breading, served with Thia sweet chili, roasted pepper aioli, cocktail sauce. $11
Zin American Bistro, Palm Springs CA

These calamari were pretty good! The squid remained tender and the breading was tasty and not greasy. I especially liked the trio of sauce. It made it more festive and I liked the variety of flavors.

Warm chocolate molten cake – Spencer’s Restaurant

Warm chocolate molten cake - Spencer's Restaurant
“Volcano cake” with liquidy chocolate center, baked to order with vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, and chocolate and berry sauces. $10
Spencer’s Restaurant, Palm Springs CA

This cake was yummy! It was moist and nice and molten in the center. I also liked the two different sauces along with the ice cream and berries.
