Beef shawarma plate – Oasis Grill

Beef shawarma plate - Oasis Grill
Rice, hummus, cucumber and yogurt salad, green salad, bread. $13.99
Oasis Grill, San Francisco CA

Ugh, I was NOT impressed by this plate. What little beef I got, was tough and gristly. The rest of the plate was just bland and boring. I think their fancy departmentalized tray acted as an optical illusion because you really don’t get much food at all for the fourteen dollar price tag.

Mini cheeseburger – Super Duper Burgers

Mini cheeseburger - Super Duper Burgers
One 4 ounce patty, ground daily all natural Niman Ranch beef. “Everything on it” with lettuce, tomato, red onions, Super sauce, and cheese. $5.50
Super Duper Burgers, San Francisco CA

Mmm, I love Super Duper burgers. The mini is the perfect size for lunch and not too heavy to induce an afternoon food coma, although it tastes and eats like a substantial burger.

Agnolotti dal plin – Perbacco

Agnolotti dal plin - Perbacco
Pasta filled with roasted meats and savoy cabbage, sugo d’arrosto. $19
Perbacco, San Francisco CA

This tasted amazing! It was rich and meaty and the pasta was cooked perfectly. I don’t have agnolotti very often, but I loved it’s shape and small size. I don’t know if it was the sauce or the filling, but this had kinda of a grainy texture that was new and fun. The flavors were SO wonderful though. I could have eaten another plate!

Mmm, this was pretty delicious! The chowder was rich and flavorful, but it wasn’t thick. All the ingredients were quality and cooked perfectly. The chowder tasted great and just made you feel good eating it. Noms!

3 item combo – B & M Mei Sing Restaurant

3 item combo - B & M Mei Sing Restaurant
Glass noodles, eggplant, and black bean fish. $6.25
B & M Mei Sing Restaurant, San Francisco CA

Hmm, as lunchtime Chinese fast food goes, this was ok. You definitely get more noodles than anything, and much smaller portions of proteins. Everything was also on the salty side. Even though the eggplants were kinda greasy, they still tasted pretty good.

Wow, this salumi plate was delicious! Each variety had a unique flavor and texture and I enjoyed every one. I love that they cure all of it in-house, and I also liked the super thin cuts. Noms!

Bagna cauda grilled oysters – Hog Island Oyster Bar

Bagna cauda grilled oysters - Hog Island Oyster Bar
Anchovies, butter, capers, garlic, parsley. $13
Hog Island Oyster Bar, San Francisco CA

Hmm, I thought that I would like these grilled oysters better than raw ones but I think my tastes have changed. I used to love grilled oysters, and these were plenty tasty, but now I prefer the freshness of the raw variety.
