Galbi short rib tacos - Vatos Urban Tacos
Marinated short rib, ssamjang aioli, Asian slaw, cilantro, onion, roasted sesame seeds. ₩7,900
Vatos Urban Tacos, Seoul SOUTH KOREA

These tacos were great! The short rib was so flavorful and the ssamjang aioli was super tasty. The tortillas were really different too. They almost seemed like they were made from rice instead of corn. It seemed fitting.

Kimchi carnitas fries - Vatos Urban Tacos
Seasoned French fries, braised carnitas, sauteed kimchi, cheese, cilantro onion, sour cream, Vatos hot sauce. ₩12,500
Vatos Urban Tacos, Seoul SOUTH KOREA

This was sinfully yummy! I wish there was more Korean flavors in there to make it more interesting, but it was pretty damn good overall. A definite gut-buster but it certainly hits the spot and tastes great with beer!

Assorted tacos – Tacorgasmico

Assorted tacos - Tacorgasmico
Carne asada, carnitas, and pollo pibil. Handmade corn tortillas, queso fresco, crema, avocado, and pico de gallo. Each $4
Tacorgasmico, San Francisco CA

These tacos were pretty good. I like the texture of the warm tortillas and the proteins were pretty tasty too. It wasn’t on the menu description, but the pickled red cabbage was an excellent addition.

Chorizo con huevos y papas gordita – Tacorgasmico

Chorizo con huevos y papas gordita - Tacorgasmico
Chorizo with eggs and potatoes, handmade corn tortilla stuffed with black refried beans, lettuce, crema, queso fresco, and avocado. $5
Tacorgasmico, San Francisco CA

I liked this. The handmade corn tortilla had a great texture and was yummy. The chorizo filling was also rich and flavorful. It was on the small side, but then again it only cost five bucks.

Guacamole and chips – Tacorgasmico

Guacamole and chips - Tacorgasmico
Made to order and served in a traditional mocajete. $6
Tacorgasmico, San Francisco CA

I’m not sure if they were out of mocajetes, but the guacamole was definitely served in a ramekin. Not a big deal, but don’t write something on your menu that you’re not going to do. This guacamole order was really small, even for six bucks. Lame. And I really doubt it was “made to order”.

Baja fish and shrimp tacos – Tropisueno

Baja fish and shrimp tacos - Tropisueno
Fresh Ecuadorian tilapia, Negra Modelo battered, fried with salsa verde, sour cream, house slaw. $4.75
Sauteed shrimp, salsa verde, sour cream, house slaw. $4.75
Tropisueno, San Francisco CA

Mmm, seafood tacos are the best. These were on the small side for the price, but they tasted great. The salsa bar at Tropisueno is still one of my favorite things for lunch.
