Mmm, these were good. The small Kobe beef patties were pretty juicy and flavorful, and you can’t go wrong with tempura fried onion rings! 🙂

Hot honey, goat cheese. Happy hour $5
Level, Annapolis MD
Omg, this was a revelation for me! Brussels sprouts + honey + goat cheese = Heaven! Seriously, these were amazing. For those of you who cook, I would get on this right now (and send me some)!

St. Anne’s Parish.

Happy hour $5

I wish there was less cheese and more kimchi shrimp inside these quesadilla. They tasted good, but I wanted more of the kimchi flavor in the forefront.

Shenandoah National Park.

Olive oil, garlic, feta, mozzarella, parmesan, fresh basil. Happy hour $8
Level, Annapolis MD
This pizza was rich, buttery and delicious! The toppings were simple and they tasted great together. The crust was nice and thin with a pleasant bite to it. Noms!

USS Maryland Memorial & Bell.

Cheese, lettuce, served with pico de gallo and sour cream. $9
Penn Social, Washington DC
This was a pretty small portion, but the pulled pork tasted really good! It had a sweetness to it that I enjoyed. The bar patrons were on the younger side and it definitely had a college party atmosphere.

Beer. Happy hour $5

Corn tortilla chips served in a crunchy flour tortilla bowl, topped with seasoned beef, cheddar cheese sauce, black beans, tomatoes, scallions, shredded lettuce, guacamole, sofrito salsa, and sour cream. nutmeg. Happy hour $5
Pusser’s Caribbean Grille, Annapolis MD
I thought it was kinda odd to serve nachos in a tortilla bowl, but I guess if you really love tortillas this is for you. These nachos were ooey, gooey, cheesy, beefy, and so bad for you (in other words it was perfect, lol)!

Annapolis Harbor.

Open sushi hand rolls. Happy hour $4 each
SEI, Washington DC
I definitely liked the spicy salmon more than the garlic scallop. The scallop hand roll tasted off and the texture was mushy. The spicy salmon had a more distinct flavor and a nice firm texture.

Faux Punishment: rum, star of anise, aromatic bitters, citrus. Happy hour $8

Black bean, jalapeno, yellow onion, lime juice, cumin, tomato, tortilla chips. Happy hour $4
Level, Annapolis MD
This hummus was delicious! And for only four bucks, what!? It had a great thick, substantial texture and really great flavors incorporated into it. It also had a nice kick to it which I really enjoyed.

Bourbonapolis: Woodford Reserve bourbon, aperol, apple shrub, lemon, orgeat, peychaud, hard cider cube. $9
A really yummy cocktail. And I loved the large hard cider ice cube – nice!

Quaint Annapolis street.

Slow roasted pork shoulder, pickled red onion, cilantro, garlic aioli. Happy hour $5
MXDC Cocina Mexicana, Washington DC
Although these tacos were small, they certainly packed a punch! I loved the delicious, tender pork and they didn’t go overboard with toppings. MXDC kept and simple tasty.

Segura Viudas Aria Cave Rose, Penedes, Spain. Happy hour $6

Chips and salsa. Complimentary
The green tomatillo salsa was too sour for my taste, but the darker roasted salsa was delicious!

Sundried tomato pesto, baby fennel confit, lemon emulsion. Happy hour $5
Jardenea, Washington DC
This was much more rich than I anticipated from the menu description, and I kinda liked it! The fennel confit almost caramelized and very tasty, and the kaffir lime leaves added a great citrus flavor. Noms! (The mussels could have been more plump and juicy though.)

Shenandoah Caverns, Quicksburg VA.

Cucumber, chile pequin, red onion, lime. Happy hour $6
MXDC Cocina Mexicana, Washington DC
This wasn’t my favorite because the dressing was way too salty! It did have nice flavors with a spicy kick and the fish (what little of it there was) was tender. There was an anise or five spice flavor that I couldn’t quite place, but it was unexpected and enjoyable.

Poema Cava, Penedes, Spain. Happy hour $6

Shaved beets and baby arugula, marcona almonds, orange blossom honey vinaigrette. Happy hour $5
Jardenea, Washington DC
I loved the flavors in this salad, but I thought the greens were overdressed and in a pool of dressing underneath. The beets and goat cheese combination worked perfectly though and the marcona almonds were a nice addition.

Cabernet sauvignon. Happy hour $5

Maryland Inn, Annapolis MD.
