Hot Italian sausage – Rosamunde Sausage Grill

Hot Italian sausage - Rosamunde Sausage Grill
With grilled onions and hot peppers.. $6.50
Rosamunde Sausage Grill, San Francisco CA

Mmm, so hot and greasy! The sausages are great here, but I have to give it to them when it comes to the toppings. They’re great and they definitely pile it on. Pair it with a some beer and you have a great meal.

Chicken nachos – Pappasito’s Cantina

Chicken nachos - Pappasito's Cantina
With cheese, beans, jalapeños, pico de gallo and sour cream. $12.99
Pappasito’s Cantina, George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)

This was kinda gross. The nacho cheese had that weird slimy texture and the chicken was super dry. The pico de gallo salsa was also really bland. I had a few bites and threw the rest away. I didn’t want to risk an angry bathroom visit on my next leg, lol!

And this was my last lunch in DC with a few people from my work group. It kinda made me sad, but it was nice working with the team at headquarters. Anyway, this burger was pretty good. It was juicy and had a lot of flavor. I loved the little squirt bottle filled with ketchup, and the parmesan fries were addicting. Noms!

Assorted cured meats and cheeses, honey, walnut, grape, cornichon, fruit compote, membrillo. Sunday brunch buffet
Seasons, Washington DC

This was my final brunch in DC spent with some co-workers and I had a great time! The food selection was great at the Seasons Sunday brunch. I tried to get a little piece of everything but there were too many things to try. Noms! (I kinda miss DC sometimes…)

Eggs St. Charles – Warehouse Bar & Grill

Eggs St. Charles - Warehouse Bar & Grill
Fried catfish topped with poached eggs and hollandaise, served with breakfast potatoes. $14.95
Warehouse Bar & Grill, Alexandria VA

The catfish was bland, the potatoes were sad, and the hollandaise was cold. Suffice it to say that I was NOT impressed and really just wanted to send this crap back.

Lobster ragout – Table

Lobster ragout - Table
Fingerling potatoes, onion, bisque sauce. $31
Table, Washington DC

Yay for lobster! This was delicious and beautifully cooked. Some people hate having to extract their seafood from shells, but I think it’s part of the experience and actually very fun. The lobster bisque sauce was super yummy and I thought the plating was simple and classy.

Alla Romana pizza – Etto

Alla Romana pizza - Etto
Capers, olives, onion, anchovy, mozzarella. $17
Etto, Washington DC

Mmm, this was delicious! I usually don’t like a lot of char on my pizza crusts, but this wasn’t bitter in the least. The toppings were also wonderful and tasted great. It must be good if I can eat the entire pizza by myself in one sitting. Perfect!

Chili cheese fries – Red Devon Grill

Chili cheese fries - Red Devon Grill
French fries topped with chili and nacho cheese. $5.50
Red Devon Grill, Mount Vernon VA

Omg, there were the perfect chili cheese fries! They were drenched in the nuclear yellow nacho sauce and a healthy helping of chili. It made me sick and I couldn’t begin to finish them (which means that they were made just right, lol)! Gotta appreciate horrible American junk food. 🙂

Shanghai steamed pork soup dumplings – Original Dim Sum Garden

Shanghai steamed pork soup dumplings - Original Dim Sum Garden
Eight pieces $5.75
Original Dim Sum Garden, Philadelphia PA

Ugh, these were absolutely disgusting! I don’t know what their idea of xiao long bao is in Philly, but I don’t like it. The wrapper was gummy, and the soup was dark, thick and gel like – gross! And almost everyone of these dumplings ended up breaking when trying to eat. #FAIL

Crawfish and shrimp beignets – Warehouse Bar & Grill

Crawfish and shrimp beignets - Warehouse Bar & Grill
New Orleans style deep fried fritters with garlic mayo. $10.95
Warehouse Bar & Grill, Alexandria VA

Omg, this dish was a joke! It was neither a beignet nor fritter. It was a soggy, squishy hot mess! I don’t know in which world you can call this a beignet, but it was false advertising. I wouldn’t have minded if they ended up being good, but they sucked. I’m still flabbergasted that they actually served these shitty cakes. And I wasn’t fooled by all the aioli drizzled on top. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a crappy appetizer.
