Salads and soup – Seasons

Salads and soup - Seasons
Wedge salad, baby spinach salad, kale and beet salad, fall slaw, fennel and pear salad, cauliflower and pearl couscous salad, wild mushroom soup. Sunday brunch buffet
Seasons, Washington DC

I’m not a big salad fan. Actually, I usually skip them but there was such a nice variety that I tried some of them. And they were really good! They were all very fresh and packed with flavor. Mmm… I wasn’t very impressed with the soup though.

Meatball and fregola soup – Claudine

Meatball and fregola soup - Claudine
With pork and ricotta meatballs, fregola, kale and parmesan, drizzled with arbequina olive oil. With added egg $13
Claudine, San Francisco CA

My first fregola soup! I liked the texture of the pasta and the individual ingredients were great, but I don’t think I was a fan of the broth. It was kinda bland and it was barely warm. I came on a cold and rainy day and really wanted something hot to eat, but this wasn’t it! There was also too much cheese in the soup and it was awkward eating around the huge melted blob of it in the middle of the bowl. There was a sourness to the broth that I wasn’t a fan of either.

Bread and butter. $2
I think it’s tacky when restaurants charge for bread and butter. Lame.

Szechuan garlic beef lunch combination – Judy Fu’s Snappy Dragon

Szechuan garlic beef lunch combination - Judy Fu's Snappy Dragon
With egg fried rice, hot and sour soup, and barbecue pork. $8.50
Judy Fu’s Snappy Dragon, Seattle WA

This dish was REALLY salty! I liked the flavor of the garlic beef, but after a while I couldn’t taste anything else because of the high sodium content. The hot and sour soup was yummy though. The barbecue pork was good, but the fried rice was an afterthought.

Seafood plate – Seasons

Seafood plate - Seasons
Smoked salmon, crab claw, shrimp. scallop, crab dip, ceviche. Sunday brunch buffet
Seasons, Washington DC

I really liked their seafood selection and I didn’t even try everything. The fresh items seemed pretty fresh and their prepared items had great flavors so it’s nice that they didn’t sacrifice quality for the buffet.

Wingmasters Sports Bar, Seattle WA

Came here to watch some college football with my brother. It’s his neighborhood bar and it’s a really fun with friendly staff. The patrons can sometimes be random to me, but everyone seems to be pretty cool (even the Cougar fans, lol).

Wow, this place has a really great lunch combo deal! I guess they tend to over-sauce their crispy chicken so my brother suggested getting the sauce on the side. The food was pretty good. I liked the barbecue pork and the chicken wasn’t too greasy.
