Ahi burger – Gott’s Roadside

Ahi burger - Gott's Roadside
Sushi grade Ahi tuna seared rare with ginger wasabi mayo, Asian slaw & cilantro on a toasted egg bun. $15.99
Gott’s Roadside, San Francisco CA

This ahi tuna burger IS delicious, but it’s $17.39 after tax so it makes for a pricey lunch item. You really can’t have this often otherwise your lunch budget dwindles down quickly.

Street taco platter – Loco Charlie’s Mexican Grill

Street taco platter - Loco Charlie's Mexican Grill
Four mini tacos with al pastor, lengua, carne asada, and pollo asado. Soft corn tortillas, cilantro, onions. Served with rice and beans. Each $8.95
Loco Charlie’s Mexican Grill, Palm Springs CA

These tacos were pretty good! I liked the variety, and the quality of the proteins was good. And you can’t beat the price!

Fish tacos – Loco Charlie’s Mexican Grill

Fish tacos - Loco Charlie's Mexican Grill
Two corn tortillas filled with breaded fish topped with Mexican cole slaw, chipotle baja sauce and pico de gallo. Served with rice. $9.95
Loco Charlie’s Mexican Grill, Palm Springs CA

These tacos were much larger than I expected. The fish were slightly greasy, but they tasted great and they definitely don’t skimp on the toppings. The rice, on the other hand, was really lame and dry.

Original 5-item bento – Delica

Original 5-item bento - Delica
Chicken dumpling with sweet chili sauce, avocado roll, 1/2 shrimp cake and tartar sauce, spicy burdock salad, hijiki and soybean salad.
$12.25
Delica, San Francisco CA

I like these bentos because they’re quick and the items are of really good quality. They really need a grab’n’go hot bento though. I liked everything, but the burdock salad was probably my least favorite. It had an odd texture that didn’t quite agree with me.
