Mortadella sandwich - Sammy's on 2nd
Mustard, mayonnaise, pickles, romaine lettuce, red onions and jalapenos. Sandwich and soup combo $8.99
Sammy’s on 2nd, San Francisco CA

This sandwich was simple and very tasty. I liked their thin sliced mortadella and they put a good amount of it in the sandwich. The soft roll was even “soft” and a yummy choice for this sandwich.

Boneless chicken marinated in yoghurt with fresh ginger, garlic and homemade spices and finished with butter. Served with vegetable dumplings and yellow basmati rice. $10

I was looking for something different for lunch, so I decided to give Nepalese food a try. this was very good and different. The sauce on the gurkha chicken was delicious and I loved the firm texture of the MoMo dumplings.

Country steak and gravy – Bongo Johnny’s

Country steak and gravy - Bongo Johnny's
Golden brown cube steak and country gravy with two eggs (over medium) and hash browns. Served with whole wheat toast. $11.95
Bongo Johnny’s, Palm Springs CA

I really enjoyed this (even though my arteries say “no”!). The country steak was nicely fried and the gravy was tasty. The hash browns were also nice and crispy and not greasy. NOMS!

Porchetta sandwich – Roli Roti

Porchetta sandwich - Roli Roti
Slow rotisserie roasted pork with house made onion marmalade, fresh arugula, herbed sea salt and served on an Acme Bakery roll. $9.50
Roli Roti Gourmet Rotisserie, San Francisco CA

This sandwich is as good as ever. The porchetta seems to be even fattier these days (which I’m not gonna complain about) and just packed with flavor. I love this as a special treat every once in a while.
