These weren’t very good. They were dry, small, and lacked any crumble. I’m not sure why they would charge $3.50 for a mini muffin! The service was REALLY slow the morning we tried this place and they kept messing up our orders, but the manager was really friendly and apologetic for the delays and mistakes. She also gave us comped coffees for our next visit.

Laniakea Cafe, Kona International Airport (KOA)
These were disgusting and super greasy! And even worse than the onion rings was the woman working the cash register. She had such a horrible attitude and shouldn’t be allowed to work in customer service. I would rather go hungry than return to this lame restaurant when I’m back in KOA.

This was definitely “mini”, but it tasted good and for only 4 bucks I’m not gonna complain. Send me another mai tai, and I’m good! 🙂

This was very good, but I think I prefer their poke selections better. The meats were tender and tasty though, and those clams are still killer!

The patty looked SO tiny on the bun, but it was sure tasty! I’m not sure I’ve ever had a burger with burrata on top before, but I’d definitely have it again (I love burrata!). And the fries were damn good!

I wasn’t expected much, but this fried chicken was pretty damn good! I liked the tasty breading, and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. Mmm…

This was a hefty burger, and tasty to boot! The patty was tender and I liked the flavorful condiments. The fries were also pretty great!

This portion of lamb was very generous. It was cooked perfectly and was wonderfully tender and juicy. The vegetables were also prepared beautifully and went well with the heavier protein.
Traditional broth with light fish and seaweed flavors topped with beef, caramelized onions, and soft boiled egg. $6.55
Marukame Udon, Honolulu HI
I loved this udon, and for less than seven bucks! I’m in heaven. I guess this place is super popular, but we got in early so there wasn’t a line yet. Yum!

Royal Kona Resort, Kailua-Kona HI
I don’t usually like dinner buffets at hotels/weddings, but this it was delicious and I was really surprised at all the different food items that they offered. There was SO much food that I think I only had a plate and a half (which is good for me, hehe).
Kalbi, bbq beef, bbq chicken, and spring rolls with bean sprouts, macaroni salad, choy sum, kimchee, and rice. $12.50

Omg, there is NO way one person can eat this entire lunch plate. It sure was delicious though and there was plenty for lunch the next day. 🙂

I liked the curry flavor in this ceviche. It was little different but very delicious. I thought that the watermelon radish was also a nice, pretty touch.
