Pollo enchiladas – The Little Chihuahua

Pollo enchiladas - The Little Chihuahua
Two enchiladas filled with grilled chicken, cheese, queso fresco, grilled onions and poblano peppers, served with black beans, Mexican rice and topped with red sauce, sour cream, chopped onions and cilantro. $10.75
The Little Chihuahua, San Francisco CA

These enchiladas were ok, but I had actually ordered them “for here” so it was annoying to sit at a table and eat out of a “to-go” container. I don’t understand right now…!

Chicken curry – Muracci’s Japanese Curry & Grill

Chicken curry - Muracci's Japanese Curry & Grill
With brown rice and hot curry. $8.45
Muracci’s Japanese Curry & Grill, San Francisco CA

Mmm, I love the curry at Muracci’s! This chicken curry was really tasty and I love their hot (spicy level) curry option. I just wish there was  a little more chicken, but the price is great regardless. Noms!

Keema muttar & chicken tikka masala thali plate – Kasa Indian Eatery

Keema muttar & chicken tikka masala thali plate - Kasa Indian Eatery
Ground turkey with sweet peas. Char-grilled and marinated naturally-raised chicken in a spicy, creamy tomato sauce. A homestyle Indian platter with one or two of the dishes listed below, roti (handmade bread), slow-simmered daal (lentils), rice, veggie salad, chutneys and raita (yogurt). $11.95
Kasa Indian Eatery, San Francisco CA

Mmm, I love the thali plates at Kasa. They’re a great value and there are so many flavors and components that make it fun to eat. I really need to stop getting the green hot sauce though. It tastes great but I always pay the next day. Lol!

Enchiladas combo – Chevys Fresh Mex

Enchiladas combo - Chevys Fresh Mex
Salsa chicken with New Mexico red chile sauce, picadillo beef with meat sauce, served with black beans, rice, salad, and sweet corn tomalito. $11.79
Chevys Fresh Mex, San Francisco CA

Mmm, enchiladas are my favorite. These were ok, but the plate was large and filled me up (I actually didn’t finish and took the rest to-go). I do love their little sweet corn cakes though. I’m sure its all butter and oil, but that’s why they taste so good.

Strawberry lemonade - Chevys Fresh Mex
Strawberry lemonade. $2.99

California lamb T-bone – Boulevard

California lamb T-bone - Boulevard
Wood oven roasted, served off the bone. Grilled Zuckerman’s asparagus, Yukon potato salsa verde and Mt. Vikos feta, roasted lamb jus with mint and rosemary. $37
Boulevard, San Francisco CA

California lamb T-bone - Boulevard
Mmm, the roasted lamb was very flavorful and hearty. I loved the feta cheese with it and the lamb jus was delicious. I loved the crispy, charred edges of the lamb but wasn’t impressed by the potato salsa verde. I didn’t think it worked well with the rest of the dish.

Gin and tonic cocktail - Boulevard
Gin and tonic. $9.50

Alaskan halibut ala plancha – Boulevard

Alaskan halibut ala plancha - Boulevard
Squash blossom with erbette chard and sultanas, Lebanese semolina couscous with saffron and turmeric, roasted tomato almond honey. $35
Boulevard, San Francisco CA

I think the stars of this dish were the fried and stuffed squash blossom and semolina couscous! They were both so much fun to eat and absolutely delicious. The halibut was good too, but it was the other components that really shined. Noms!

Cucumber Gimlet cocktail - Boulevard
Cucumber Gimlet: Boodles gin, muddled cucumber, lime juice, simple syrup, served up. $14
