The lamb was nicely prepared in this dish, but the tagine vegetables fell flat and was pretty bland. I was missing more of the Moraccan flavors that should have excited my tastebuds.

This was standard fair, but really well prepared. The filet was tender and juicy and very flavorful especially with the pan drippings. The spinach was unmemorable, but I liked the potato onion pie.

This was another disappointment. The latkes were over-fried and greasy, and the eggs were poached hard. They may have been sitting under the warmer for too long(?). That would make sense since the service was SO slow. I wasn’t a fan of the sumac hollandaise either.
Bottomless mimosa. Yeah right! We would finish a glass but the server was never around to give us a refill. They should really call it “bottomless mimosas if the server feels like taking the time to do his job”. #lame

This certainly wasn’t what I expected. This was actually just baked eggs (not even poached) in some tomato and pepper sauce. It was kinda weird and had an odd flavor that I couldn’t quite pin down. I wouldn’t order this again.

This had great flavors and I liked the sage brown butter, but I thought that the whole thing was a bit dry. You can even see that the ravioli pasta was dry and starting to curl up at the edges. Perhaps the plate sat under the warmer too long – the service WAS a bit slow.

This is a DC classic, so I had to try it! It was certainly different. I can’t say that I’ve had a hot dog with mustard and chili on it at the same time. It tasted oddly good. I’m not sure I’ll go back for another since it seemed way to unhealthy (even for me, lol), but it was worth trying once. This place is certainly popular though!

This dish tasted good, but it was a lot of food after an extended happy hour across the street at Ambar. The service here was pretty friendly but they did forget our appetizer order.

This bbq was pretty good. The beef brisket had a lot of flavor and so did the ribs. The ribs could have been a bit more tender, but they taste good enough. I also loved their mac and cheese. It took me back to school lunches growing up, lol! Win!

Ew, this was disgusting! Everything on this plate was dry, over-fried, and flavorless. Even the crab cakes were from the fryer. Who cooks crab cakes in a fryer?! Gross.

I liked this dish. The lamb was tender, juicy and flavorful and I liked the different garnishes. Everything was nicely prepared. Eat it with some of their pita and you have a delicious bite!

This beef tartare was delicious, but I thought it was a bit weird to serve fries with it. I would have preferred something flat to easily eat the tartare with. The French fries were good though!
