Black beans, rice, salad. $8.75
Tropisueno, San Francisco CA

I didn’t like this very much. I thought the flavor combinations were weird and didn’t work well together. Carrot, raisin, and pine nuts aren’t a good combo.

Prawns, dungeness crab, baby octopus, calamari, clams, mussels, sumac aioli. $30
Zare at Fly Trap, San Francisco CA
Mmm, this was delicious! I’ve never had the combination of pearl couscous with seafood, but it was great. The seafood was cooked nicely and the texture of the couscous was fun. The bowl was certainly warm and comforting.

Sonoma Coast State Park, Bodega Bay.

With creamed collards and scrambled eggs. $18
Bar Tartine, San Francisco CA
Wow, another brunch hit for Bar Tartine. This flatbread was SO delicious! All the ingredients were perfect and the flatbread itself had a wonderful texture. More please!

Pulled and ground lamb stew, potato, chick peas, turmeric, preserved lime, lavash and torshi. $27

This was good. I thought the lamb was cooked well and the stew was warm and comforting.

Smoked, double-dipped buttermilk fried chicken, served with cornbread and collard greens. $16.50
Bitters Bock & Rye, San Francisco CA
Mmm, I loved the breading on this chicken. It was thick and delicious and the chicken was very tender and juicy. I could have done without the dry cornbread though.

Moore County Fire: Jack Daniels, fresh lime, simple syrup, hellfire bitters. $10

Served with potato salad and corn on the cob. Half rack $22.75
Bitters Bock & Rye, San Francisco CA
I love bbq, and these ribs were pretty good. Not the best (kinda dry actually), but they were nice and smoky with a great flavor. And with a bunch of bbq sauce squeezed on top, they tasted just fine!

Bbq sauces.

Baby arugula salad, rosemary parmesan Kennebec fries, chimichurri sauce. $20
The Liberties, San Francisco CA
This skirt steak was really delicious, and the fries were great too. Everything was salty and saucy, just the way I like it. Mmm…

San Francisco City Hall.

Live crab battered, deep-fried and sprinkled with salt and pepper seasonings. Half $25
R&G Lounge, San Francisco CA
Meh, I really wasn’t a fan of this dish especially considering how expensive it was. I guess the flavor was ok, but the crab was SO greasy! I’m all for eating with my hands and getting messy but it’s gross to be squeezing and crushing THAT much oil out of your food. Ugh, I definitely would not order this again.

House of Prime Rib cut, mashed potatoes and gravy, creamed spinach, Yorkshire pudding. Prime rib dinner $41.85
House of Prime Rib, San Francisco CA
Mmm, this prime rib was delicious! It was tender and juicy and super flavorful. The mashed potatoes were also yummy but the gravy was a bit salty. The creamed spinach were also on the salty side, but still very tasty. I didn’t much like the Yorkshire pudding because it was dry, but maybe it was supposed to be since it was great for soaking up all the juices on the plate. Noms!

Horseradish.

Grilled marinated pork, tortilla chips with beans, melted cheese, pico de gallo, crema and guacamole. $9.95
Tropisueno, San Francisco CA
I loved the super thin chips, but they might have been a bit dainty for all those toppings. I don’t know if I was a big fan of the pork though. It was a little bland.

Bernal Heights Park.

Nanami togarashi seasoning, carnaroli rice, green sweet peas and shaved parmigiano reggiano. $25
Lavender Bistro, La Quinta CA
This risotto was really delicious and I loved its creamy texture and the slightly Asian flavors. The scallops were cooked nicely, but the shrimp were a bit overcooked.

Zardetto, Proseco Dos Brut. Split $14

With steamed broccoli and chap chae (Korean style glass noodles), kimchi. $9.25
Sorabol, San Francisco CA
I know this to-go plate looks like a pile of crap, but I secretly love the spicy pork from Sorabol. Lol! It’s SO flavorful and they definitely give you plenty. Mmm…
