Wow, this was SO rich, but oh so delicious! The braised short rib certainly put these totchos over the top. Noms!

Thinly sliced rib eye, Ike’s yellow bbq sauce, light habanero salsa, pepper jack and American cheese, onions, banana peppers, and pickles on French bread. $12.21
Ike’s Place, San Francisco CA
Mmm, Mad Bum taste great, lol! I liked the “slight” spice but wish it had a little more kick. The sandwich was messy and delicious.

6 pieces $4.49
Sonic Drive-In, American Canyon CA
Ew, these were such a disappointment. The Island fire sauce was oddly slimy and it wasn’t the least spicy. Lame.

Carne asada, carnitas, and pollo pibil. Handmade corn tortillas, queso fresco, crema, avocado, and pico de gallo. Each $4
Tacorgasmico, San Francisco CA
These tacos were pretty good. I like the texture of the warm tortillas and the proteins were pretty tasty too. It wasn’t on the menu description, but the pickled red cabbage was an excellent addition.

Small $2.19
Sonic Drive-In, American Canyon CA
Yum, I love tater tots! These were actually pretty good. The tots were hot and crispy and held up to the chili and cheese nicely.

Chorizo with eggs and potatoes, handmade corn tortilla stuffed with black refried beans, lettuce, crema, queso fresco, and avocado. $5
Tacorgasmico, San Francisco CA
I liked this. The handmade corn tortilla had a great texture and was yummy. The chorizo filling was also rich and flavorful. It was on the small side, but then again it only cost five bucks.

Sidecar: cognac, lemon, triple sec, fig. $10
Ninebark, Napa CA
This place was really nice and comfortable. The bartender was friendly and the drinks were really well-made and tasty. I’ll definitely return for the food – I’ve heard that their food is supposed to be great.

Paloma: tequila, grapefruit, soda, lime.
Tennessee Cola: whiskey, house cola, toasted grain. Each $10

Toasted hazelnuts. Complimentary

Wild arugula, pickled beets, buttermilk horseradish. $27
The Table, San Jose CA
This dish seemed pretty small for twenty seven bucks worth of food. Yes, it was tasty enough but I couldn’t help but feel a little cheated from the portion size. It would have been different if I was blown away by it, but that wasn’t the case.

Made to order and served in a traditional mocajete. $6
Tacorgasmico, San Francisco CA
I’m not sure if they were out of mocajetes, but the guacamole was definitely served in a ramekin. Not a big deal, but don’t write something on your menu that you’re not going to do. This guacamole order was really small, even for six bucks. Lame. And I really doubt it was “made to order”.

Chocolate sauce. $9.75
Buckeye Roadhouse, Mill Valley CA
This dessert was great! I loved the crust and it was piled high with coconut custard, whipped cream, and dusting of chocolate shavings. Mmm…

With vanilla bean ice cream. Chef’s tasting $45
Tinto, Palm Springs CA
I wasn’t excited about dessert because I was SO full from the chef’s tasting. Well thank goodness because these dessert weren’t very good. They seemed like ordinary hotel-type dessert made in large production. Pretty lame.

Niman Ranch beef, white cheddar, caramelized onions, bacon, garlic aioli, grain mustard and house-made bbq sauce. Served with salad and side of pickled veggies. $13
Radish, San Francisco CA
Mmm, this burger looked great and tasted equally great. The beef was thick and juicy and the bacon and caramelized onions gave it a nice and smoky flavor. The side salad was also very refreshing and perfectly dressed.

Calicraft Cali Coast Kolsch ale. $5
