I’ve finally acquired the taste for deviled eggs. I grew up not liking them because they were always a staple at potlucks and they looked like they shouldn’t be trusted. The weird color and texture of the whipped yolks with the red paprika dusting always freaked me out. But I do love eggs, so it hasn’t been hard to finally start eating these. This particular preparation was very tasty and I loved that they lay the eggs on a dollop of yolk so it won’t slide around. The candied bacon was amazing, and I loved the thin twists. Easy to handle and devour, mmm!

Toasted, buttered egg buns with battered and deep fried shrimp, tomato, aioli.

These little sliders packed a lot of flavor! The shrimp were moist and tender, but perhaps a tad on the greasy side. I loved the aioli and the fresh tomato that helped to brighten up this deliciously fattening slider. The sliders constantly change, but I’m glad we got this variety that particular night – pretty tasty!

Fresh cut potato ribbons, crunchy fried, roasted garlic aioli and sriracha ketchup. $5

What can I say? These were fun to eat and share. I like the combination of the garlic aioli and sriracha ketchup. This bar snack is not the healthiest thing for you, but I’d still recommend it. The potato ribbons weren’t too greasy and there’s plenty of them!
