Paraiso curry chicken – Paraiso Grill

Paraiso curry chicken - Paraiso Grill
Delicious creamy coconut milk, curry to taste and vegetables. 250 PHP
Paraiso Grill, Boracay PHILIPPINES

I think it’s funny when menus say things like “curry to taste”, as if they would add curry not to taste. Perhaps it’s just poor translation but it’s cute. This dish was ok, I wasn’t blown away or even impressed really. I did like that there were plenty of vegetables.

Grilled marlin steaks – Plato D’Boracay Resto

Grilled marlin steaks - Plato D'Boracay Resto
With sauteed onions. Marlin 500 PHP, Cooking service 200 PHP

I can’t remember the last time I had marlin. It think it was in Seattle, back in the day. The fish tasted good, but it has a tendency to get dry pretty quickly. This was a bit on the dry side, but I think that’s why they suggested it be cooked with a sauce. My friend also requested some chopped tomatoes and onions to add more moisture and flavor.

This bar adjacent to The Walrus and the Carpenter is really cute. There bartenders are laid back and cool, and the drinks are created and tasty. If you’re waiting for a seat next door, definitely duck into this bar and relax.
