Carne asada naked burrito – Papalote Mexican Grill

Carne asada naked burrito - Papalote Mexican Grill
Grilled steak, lettuce, rice, black beans, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, pico de gallo. Super $10.09
Papalote Mexican Grill, San Francisco CA

Omg, just found out that Papalote makes “naked” burritos which is pretty much like a burrito bowl. Heck yeah! I love the proteins at this place because they always cooked them perfectly and they’re always substantial. This is definitely a much better lunch than Chipotle.

Pollo relleno – Iron Cactus

Chicken breast stuffed with Iron Cactus corn bread and cheddar cheese, topped with jalapeño cream sauce. Served with Mexican rice and garlic herb broccoli. $9.99
Iron Cactus, San Antonio TX

Ugh, this was gross. It was super rich but somehow really bland at the same time. I didn’t like anything about this plate.

I loved this place. This line was crazy, but I didn’t have to wait ridiculously long. The food was great as was the service so it made up for the wait. I love the atmosphere and everyone just seemed happy to be there. Yay!

Panko avocado taco – Lolo

Panko avocado taco - Lolo
Oaxaca cheese, caramelized onions, anaheim peppers, on flour tortillas. $9
Lolo, San Francisco CA

These were pretty tasty and unique. I loved all the different flavors, and the deep fried avocado had a nice firm texture. I kinda wish this was a meat taco though with the avocado as an additional topping. I’m definitely now a vegetarian, lol.
