Bucket of baby back ribs, spiced avocado, mayonnaise. Happy hour $9
B Too, Washington DC
I think these tasted great. Perhaps they were a little dry, but slathered with some of the avocado spread they were pretty darn tasty!

Government House, Annapolis MD.

Mini smoked salmon waffles, wasabi yogurt dip. Happy hour $11
B Too, Washington DC
When I came here, I didn’t know that the chef was Bart from Top Chef until he came out of the kitchen to say Hello to some friends of his sitting near me. I was tempted to ask for a selfie, but I maintained my cool and refrained, lol!
These waffles were delicious! I loved their airy texture and the smoked salmon interior was yummy. It paired well with the wasabi yogurt sauce. Noms!

Cava. Happy hour $5

Annapolis City Dock.

Gochujang, daikon radish, sweet herbs, kimchi. $14
POV, Washington DC
These were lame. I liked the kimchi topping but the roasted chicken was SO dry. These lettuce wraps fell flat.

Potomac River, Mount Vernon VA.

Kecap Manis, mint, cilantro, radish, B&B pickles. $16
POV, Washington DC
Ugh, these buns sucked! The pork belly was dry and so were the steamed buns. I liked the flavors but I felt like these could’ve been frozen and just reheated. Definitely not worth sixteen bucks.

Charles De Fere, Blanc de Blancs. $12

Washington Monument.

With fennel slaw and spicy buttermilk. Happy hour $4
Tico, Washington DC
Mmm, another delicious taco from Tico! The chicken was so tasty and juicy and I loved the fennel slaw. Noms!

Spicy salsa verde and crushed almonds. Happy hour $5
Tico, Washington DC
This was a really lovely salad. The cabbage was fresh and crisp and it was dressed perfectly (not too heavily). I really liked the crushed almonds for added crunch.

Baron Johan DeKalb statue, Maryland State House.

With cabbage and chipotle. Happy hour $4
Tico, Washington DC
Mmm, this taco was very good too! I will say that the fish itself could have been a bit more flavorful but with everything else, the taco came together nicely.

George Washington Monument.

With smoked paprika-cornichon “special sauce”, served with French fries. Happy hour $15
Tico, Washington DC

Omg, this cheeseburger was delicious! The beef patty was plump and juicy and had a nice char to it. The bacon looked and tasted glorious and the sauce was heaven. A winner!

Hibiscus Margarita: Blanco tequila, Patron Citronage. $6
This was too sweet and not my favorite.

3 oysters, 3 clams, 1 shrimp. Happy hour $7.98
Half dozen crab claws. Happy hour $9.95
Old Ebbitt Grill, Washington DC
This was a great happy hour deal for seafood! I’m still not a fan of the larger east coast oysters but they definitely go down easier when they’re discounted, hehe! I’m also not sure that I really liked the clams (just not my style I guess). The crab claws were great though!

Prosecco “Extra Dry”, Carpene Malvoti, Conegliano, Italy, NV. $8

Shenandoah National Park, VA.

With morita chiles, radish, jalapeno, cilantro. Happy hour $4
Tico, Washington DC
Mmm, this taco was pretty amazing! The juicy beef had SO much flavor and the sauce and toppings were perfect. Noms! Our server started with some attitude though. Lame girl!

With a spicy red chili aioli, cabbage, green onion, tomato pico, and cilantro. Happy hour $5

For discounted happy hour food, these tacos were pretty amazing! The beer battered fish were fried perfectly and very tasty, and the toppings were fresh and bright. Noms!
