Ground lamb shoulder and belly, pickled carrots, daikon, jalapeno, cucumber, cilantro, sriracha mayo, fries. $17
Belcampo Meat Co., Larkspur CA
The kitchen was kind enough to split the order between two plates, and we didn’t even ask. That was cool! The burger was very tasty. I loved the lamb flavor and the patty was juicy and tender. I also liked the Vietnamese flavors. What I didn’t like was the weird ketchup. It was super sweet and kinda ruined the perfectly delicious fries.

Sticky rice, avocado, pickled chili, compressed watermelon, tamari soy. $18
Barndiva, Healdsburg CA
This plate was pretty and tasty. The tuna was fresh tasting, and I loved all the different components. Yum!

Sliced Hobbs applewood smoked ham, swiss, pepperoncini relish, heirloom beets, and frites. $17
Barndiva, Healdsburg CA
This sandwich was pretty big, and it had a lot of flavor. I liked the pepperoncini relish, and of course the beets and frites were super tasty. I wish the bread was toasted though, or that the entire sandwich was pressed.

Salsa verde, mixed greens. $26
Waxman’s Restaurant, San Francisco CA
This roasted chicken was delicious and there was plenty of it! The chicken was juicy and tender, but I think what put it over the top was the amazing salsa verde. It was unexpected and just added SO much flavor to the dish. NOMS!!!

This portion of lamb was very generous. It was cooked perfectly and was wonderfully tender and juicy. The vegetables were also prepared beautifully and went well with the heavier protein.

Shredded pork cooked with cabbage, served with rice and cole slaw. $11.75
Shaka Restaurant, Naalehu HI
This was a great local restaurant that we stumbled upon on the southern coast of the Big Island. It seemed like it was family run and operated and the food was very homey and delicious. Mmm…

Mmm, this halibut was great! It was firm and juicy and I loved the grilled flavor. The corn and squash were also lovely.

Skinless chicken thigh, lemongrass, red chili. Served with jasmine rice. $11.50

This was very flavorful and a great value for dinner. There chicken was tender, but the rice was a bit dry.
