Roasted corn relish. $15
Leatherneck Steakhouse, San Francisco CA
I liked these crab cakes because they were light and airy with a wonderful flavor. The roasted corn relish were a great accompaniment.

Skin-on, four pieces. Prosperity dinner $88
M.Y. China, San Francisco CA
The duck tasted pretty good and I liked the crispy skin, but these buns just felt sad. The shells were also dry and hard.

Malbec, Siete Fincas, Mendoza, 2012. $9
Tempranillo, Ramon Bilboa, Bodia Alta. $9

Handmade handkerchief pasta with Genovese basil and almond pesto. $34
Farina, San Francisco CA
As much as I didn’t enjoy this restaurant, this pasta dish was really great. I loved the flavor of the pesto and the soft mandilli had a wonderful texture.

Snake River Farm 16 oz veal chop served with spinach, marble potato and natural jus. $34
Farina, San Francisco CA
This was ok. Salty and gristly, but ok. I don’t like this place.

Conzorzio Vini Tipici de San Marino, Brugneto 2010. $14

Aged 24 months prosciutto, imported burrata cheese and lightly fried sage focaccia. $20
Farina, San Francisco CA
This was actually pretty good, but this restaurant is super shady! I don’t trust a place that double charges you.

Farina Old Fashioned: bourbon, cherries, orange and oak bitters. $14
Manhattan. $10

Local dungeness crab cake served with honey mustard and watercress salad. $18
Farina, San Francisco CA
I guess this restaurant was ok, but they doubled charged us on an item. Lame! These crab cakes were quite large, but I’m not sure how a Dendrobium flower works with an Italian restaurant.

Bread basket. Complimentary

Prawns, dungeness crab, baby octopus, calamari, clams, mussels, sumac aioli. $30
Zare at Fly Trap, San Francisco CA
Mmm, this was delicious! I’ve never had the combination of pearl couscous with seafood, but it was great. The seafood was cooked nicely and the texture of the couscous was fun. The bowl was certainly warm and comforting.

Sonoma Coast State Park, Bodega Bay.

Sour cream, cheese, avocado, beans, pico de gallo. $8.95
La Taqueria, San Francisco
This was messy and really tasty! I do think that having the burrito lightly grilled made all the difference. Trying to order and find a seat at this place during a weekend dinner was insane though. I don’t think a burrito is worth that madness.

Chips and salsa. $1.30
I was hoping for salsa rojo or anything else besides their boring and super acidic pico de gallo.

Pulled and ground lamb stew, potato, chick peas, turmeric, preserved lime, lavash and torshi. $27
Zare at Fly Trap, San Francisco CA
This was good. I thought the lamb was cooked well and the stew was warm and comforting.

San Francisco City Hall.

Bacon, chive and potato with a cheesy center. $5
Dapper Dog, San Francisco CA

Mmm, these fried lil potato balls were SO good! I could probably have eaten another order all by myself. They were nicely cooked too and not greasy which is difficult to do with grated potatoes. NOMS!

Chorizo sausage stuffing, tomatillo emulsion. $13
Zare at Fly Trap, San Francisco CA
I thought that this plate was pretty, but there wasn’t much food on it. It was really just one squid with some different sauces splashed on. Nevertheless, the squid was nicely cooked and tasty.

Another San Francisco dawn from my balcony.

Hot dog with sauerkraut, mustard and onion. $5
Dapper Dog, San Francisco CA
This hot dog was messy and had a lot of mustard (which I’m not crazy about), but I surprisingly liked it anyway! 🙂 Maybe because I had already been out partying with some friends, hehe.

Urban art, Market Street.
