Goat cheese, marinara, pesto, fonduta. $15
Waxman’s Restaurant, San Francisco CA
This large meatball was really tasty! It was moist and tender and I loved the fonduta poured on top with the pesto. Delicious!

“Wrap and Roll” pork vermicelli noodle roll and fresh lettuce with nuoc cham dipping sauce. $6.60
Mekong Kitchen, San Francisco CA
These were different from other imperial rolls. The fried wrapper of the roll had a different texture than I’m used to and the roll itself tasted mostly of oil. I don’t think this was my favorite.

Fried potatoes with spicy tomato, pimenton and aioli. Happy hour $5
Aatxe, San Francisco CA
Mmm, I love papayas bravas! These were really good and I loved the smokey paprika and delicious tomato sauce. Noms!

One 4 ounce patty, ground daily all natural Niman Ranch beef. “Everything on it” with lettuce, tomato, red onions, Super sauce, and cheese. $5.50
Super Duper Burgers, San Francisco CA
I was surprised when this came out because the patty looked MUCH smaller than normal. Are they really cheating us on beef?! #foodfail

Pintxo gilda, smoked quail egg and mushroom, boquerones toast and mojo verde, corn and jamon croqueta, chorizo deviled egg. Happy hour, $1 each
Aatxe, San Francisco CA
Omg, this is my new favorite happy hour! $1 pintxos – I’m in heaven. And they are SO delicious and beautifully made.

Large round pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushroom, onions and green peppers. $10
Little Caesars, Palm Springs CA
This pizza was pretty good for Little Caesars. I guess I haven’t had Little Caesars pizza since I was a kid, but I’ve never expected much from them. This was decent though and actually tasted good. The service was a hot mess at the store though!

With beef. $4.59
Del Taco, Palm Springs CA
Ugh, I didn’t like these nachos at all! I’m all for gross, fake fast food nachos, but these were really chemically and extra un-natural tasting. Their nacho cheese was really gross. I don like that they put jalapeno slices on top though.

With garlic noodles, steamed broccoli, fish sauce. $9
Laksa, San Francisco CA
I liked the chicken more than the garlic noodles. The noodles were actually pretty bland which surprised me. Usually Vietnamese garlic noodles are packed with flavor.

White cheddar, fresh mozzarella, grana, cilantro, aleppo, and lime aioli. $14
Starbelly, San Francisco CA
I think the cilantro and lime aioli put this pizza over the top! It was a nice departure from the typical meat pizza that I normally order. I loved the corn and all the different cheese. And the thin crust was also great.

Oven roasted wings with a buffalo wing sauce. $6
Little Caesars, Palm Springs CA
These were ok. I liked that they were oven roasted instead of deep fried, but they didn’t have a great buffalo flavor. They were also very small.

Sausage, salami, pepperoni, and mushrooms. $19.50
Haystack Pizza, San Francisco CA
This pizza was very good. The crust was thicker than I normally like, but it still tasted great. I actually had this the night before I ran my first marathon (with the leftovers for breakfast right before the race, lol)!

Watermelon. Prix fixe dinner $29.50
Hearth Coffee Roasters, San Francisco CA
I liked this dessert enough, but the panna cotta tasted a bit chemical-y. I liked the texture of it, but the flavor was a lil off.
