Beef pho – Mekong Kitchen

Beef pho - Mekong Kitchen
Rice noodles in slow-cooked broth, topped with cilantro, scallions, crispy shallots and shaved onions. Served with lime, jalapenos, bean sprouts, and Thai basil. $11.95
Mekong Kitchen, San Francisco CA

This was good. It wasn’t the best pho I’ve ever had, but I enjoyed it enough. The broth was a bit bland, but I thought the flavors were clean.

Fried imperial rolls – Mekong Kitchen

Fried imperial rolls - Mekong Kitchen
“Wrap and Roll” pork vermicelli noodle roll and fresh lettuce with nuoc cham dipping sauce. $6.60
Mekong Kitchen, San Francisco CA

These were different from other imperial rolls. The fried wrapper of the roll had a different texture than I’m used to and the roll itself tasted mostly of oil. I don’t think this was my favorite.
