I love rice noodle rolls for dim sum! This was filled with a mixture of prawns and bean curd. They are fun to eat and the sweet soy sauce tastes great it with. Noms!

These were more your typical dim sum dumpling items so this steam tray was more familiar than the others (and maybe a little more boring). The two kinds of dumplings were actually really good though. The har gow is a tried and true standard. I’m not completely sure what all was in the fen guo dumpling, but I would guess it was a mixture of pork, shrimp, garlic chives, mushrooms and peanuts.
Golden aster martini: Buffalo Trace bourbon, Antica forumula sweet vermouth, Aperol, saffron, lemon and chilli syrup. £9.80
Aged Vesper martini: Tanqueray No. Ten gin, Belvedere vodka and Lillet Blanc vermouth. £9.90
These cocktails were nicely made and delicious!

Mmm, this sticky rice was very flavorful! I was happily surprised that we each got individual portions because I was enjoying all the delicious food and didn’t want to share, lol. I think I ended finishing up David’s portion too. 🙂 I liked the texture of the rice and it was fun discovering the little pieces of chicken and dried shrimp hidden within.

This was probably our best London meal during this visit. We were on a tight budget so we didn’t go to any fancy restaurants this time around, but Yauatcha had a really good pre fixe for 2 people. It was a great way to taste a variety of their dim sum items without breaking the bank.
We received these two items first, and they were probably our favorites of the meal. The baked venison puff was SO delicious. The outer crust was warm and buttery, and the venison filling was so flavorful. The mei si roll was really fun to eat because of its crispy fried noodle shell. The sweet potato and mushroom filling was super tasty and I would have never thought to combine those two ingredients. NOMS!

Not sure why I bought this since I’m not a huge fan of angel food cake (I mean it’s just airy carbs and sugar). But it tasted pretty good, especially with the almond slivers on top.

This had a little too much bread to filling ratio for my taste. The pork, however, seemed less fatty than most other buns I’ve had. This is both a good and bad thing – healthier but less flavor.

I’m not really sure why these are called crystal dumplings since they use the same kind of wrapper on most of the other dumplings but just have a slightly different shape. Hmm… Anyway, they were still delicious, hehe!

These fatty pork spareribs aren’t the healthiest things for you, but I always order them. They’re SO good! 1 pound for $3.80

I’d never had this dumpling before and I really like it! If the sticky rice dough was any thicker or less cooked, I’m not sure I would have liked it though.
