Hayes Valley Bakeworks, San Francisco CA
This was rich and delicious! I was amazed at how soft and moist the bread was. And I’m sure there was plenty of butter involved in making this. What a great savory treat!

Pink Mocha Cafe, Kailua-Kona HI
These weren’t very good. They were dry, small, and lacked any crumble. I’m not sure why they would charge $3.50 for a mini muffin! The service was REALLY slow the morning we tried this place and they kept messing up our orders, but the manager was really friendly and apologetic for the delays and mistakes. She also gave us comped coffees for our next visit.

$2.79
Specialty’s Cafe & Bakery, San Francisco CA
I love these things. They’re SO buttery and soft. I’m sure they’re packed with as much fat as possible and that’s why they taste so good. Mmm…

$4.50
Alchemist Coffee Project, Los Angeles CA
I enjoyed this. I thought that the top was going to be dry, but it actually wasn’t. The center and bottom were definitely more moist, but the top wasn’t hard like I expected. I liked that they warmed it up first before serving too.

With country pork gravy, eggs over medium, home fries, and wheat toast. $13.30
Orphan Andy’s, San Francisco
Uh, guess where I ended up again, lol?! I can’t stay away from this place and its chicken fried steak. I just can’t! 🙂

With country sausage gravy, eggs over medium, served with buttermilk biscuits and gravy. $13.75
Orphan Andy’s, San Francisco CA
Omg, I am ridiculous! I can’t believe I order this stuff and eat the entire thing! Ugh, I will never be skinny, lol!

$3.50
Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen, San Francisco CA
This bagel was unlike any other bagel I’ve had in San Francisco. I don’t know, I’m not a New York bagel expert, but some people find Wise Sons bagel comparable to their precious NYC bagels. My opinion is that this bagel was very good. I loved the plentiful amount of seeds that created a thick crunchy, crusty layer on the outside. The interior wasn’t doughy or dense like some other bagels I’ve had that I didn’t like. For me, this bagel was a winner!

$3
Arizmendi Bakery, San Francisco
I liked the flavors in this, but it was actually pretty hard and difficult to chew through. Perhaps it had been sitting out too long? Hmm…

Scrambled eggs, biscuit and gravy, sausage. Complimentary
La Quinta Inn, Oakland CA
Ugh, I didn’t enjoy this very much. I’m no hotel snob, but La Quinta certainly isn’t my first hotel choice. The food was marginal and the crowd was pretty rough. 😦

Scrambled eggs, sausage patty, breakfast potatoes, and wheat toast. Complimentary
Hampton Inn & Suites, Redding CA
Their offerings at this Hampton Inn were pretty basic. They even had the gross scrambled eggs that feel and taste like they’ve been boiled or something. I didn’t expect much more for Redding though, lol!

Scrambled eggs topped with diced ham, red bell peppers, cheese and scallions. Sausage and breakfast potatoes. Complimentary
Hilton Santa Clara, Cupertino CA
This breakfast wasn’t very good. And the lounge was full of loud and obnoxious kids. Ugh!

Corned beef hash and two poached eggs, served with fresh fruit. $10.50
Bongo Johnny’s, Palm Springs CA
Ok, I may be crazy but I love the soft corned beef hash style that’s like from a can, lol! I’m ghetto, I know. That means that this dish tasted amazing to me, hehe!
