Mission Dolores High School. Coming from a small town, it amazes me that city kids get to attend really cool high schools in historic buildings. I guess it’s probably lost on them at the moment, but they’ll appreciate it later in life.
Goi cuon – Ben Tre
Fresh spring rolls. Shrimp, rice vermicelli noodles, lettuce and bean sprouts rolled in rice paper. Served with peanut sauce. $5.85

These were a standard order of fresh spring rolls, nothing special. I do wish they would include mint leaves inside!

Carne asada (grilled skirt steak), grilled fish and prawns with rice, black beans, salad, guacamole and sour cream. $12.75

Wow, there was A LOT of food on that plate! The proteins were definitely on the salty side, but still flavorful. The fish was a bit overcooked, but the prawns were perfect.
Chips and salsa. Complimentary.
Mural of Market Street, Church Street. This artwork is pretty cool – I like how they switch up the scene from panel to panel.
