Porchetta sandwich – Roli Roti

Porchetta sandwich - Roli Roti
Slow rotisserie roasted pork with house made onion marmalade, fresh arugula, herbed sea salt and served on an Acme Bakery roll. $9.50
Roli Roti Gourmet Rotisserie, San Francisco CA

This sandwich is as good as ever. The porchetta seems to be even fattier these days (which I’m not gonna complain about) and just packed with flavor. I love this as a special treat every once in a while.

Pre-boarding snacks – Air France KLM Lounge

Pre-boarding snacks - Air France KLM Lounge
Vodka cranberry cocktail, ham and cheese sandwich, brie, dried apricots. Complimentary
Air France KLM Lounge, San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

This lounge was small than I expected. I arrived between international flights so there wasn’t a lot to choose from in terms of food. As more passengers arrived, they put out more food and always walked around passing out warm cookies (which were very yummy).

Corned beef, pastrami, swiss sandwich – Sherman’s Deli and Bakery

Corned beef, pastrami, swiss sandwich - Sherman's Deli and Bakery
With lettuce and sliced tomato on rye bread, side of potato salad. $16.95
Sherman’s Deli and Bakery, Palm Springs CA

Omg, this sandwich was HUGE! I could barely eat half of it. It was so good though, and I love all their meats. That’s why a trip to Palm Springs is incomplete without a visit to Sherman’s.

Gyro – Ayola

Gyro - Ayola
Lamb and beef gyro meat, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, tzatziki sauce. 9 inch $8.95
Ayola, San Francisco CA

It’s been a while since I last had a gyro from Ayola. I usually stick with they gyro platter since I’m always hungry and it provides more food. This was good though and I liked the price. Their “hot” sauce is still my favorite in the FiDi.
