Belly bun – Bun Mee

Belly bun - Bun Mee
Kurobuta pork belly, radish relish, shaved onion, pickled carrot and daikon, jalapenos, cucumber, and cilantro. $6.75
Bun Mee, San Francisco CA

This tasted great. I wish there was more pork in it, of course, but the ingredients were quality and Bun Mee always makes great sandwiches. The roll is kinda harder than I like, but the mayo helps soften it.

Bbq pork sandwich – Yosemite Lodge Food Court

Bbq pork sandwich - Yosemite Lodge Food Court
With housemade coleslaw and tortilla chips. $13
Yosemite Lodge Food Court, Yosemite National Park CA

This bbq pork wasn’t fancy or special, but it tasted great and was super saucy (just how I like it). The tortilla chips were very stale and gross though. They would have done better to serve regular potato chips instead. The coleslaw was an afterthought.

Boca sandwich – Deli Board

Boca sandwich - Deli Board
Brisket, pastrami brisket, corned beef, muenster cheese, Board sauce, brown mustard, pickles, French roll. $15
Deli Board, San Francisco CA

Omg, I’m not even a sandwich fan but this Boca sandwich was a revelation! Three types of meat with cheese and delicious sauces – you can’t beat that! This sandwich was loaded and it knocked my socks off. NOMS!

Open faced warm organic egg salad sandwich – Red Dog Restaurant

Open faced warm organic egg salad sandwich - Red Dog Restaurant
1/2 sandwich, provolone cheese, anchovy-garlic butter. Lunch combo $12
Red Dog Restaurant, San Francisco CA

This was good, but it’s the exact same egg salad sandwich that they serve at Il Cane Rosso which is the same restaurant group. If you’d had one, you really don’t need the other. 7×7 is kinda lame when they do this!

Pepperoni steak sandwich – Charley’s Grilled Subs

Pepperoni steak sandwich - Charley's Grilled Subs
Steak, pepperoni, grilled onions, green peppers, provolone. Small $6.49
Charley’s Grilled Subs, San Francisco CA

I’ve decided that I should never eat here again. The quality sucks and the sandwiches are small and don’t taste very good. Shame on me for returning here a second time (but I did use a coupon). 🙂

Crispy fried chicken sandwich – Marlowe

Crispy fried chicken sandwich - Marlowe
Caesar aioli, bacon and field greens. $15
Marlowe, San Francisco CA

I thought the chicken sandwich was delicious, but the side salad was WAY over-dressed! The chicken tasted great and was perfectly fried, but it was the caesar aioli that really got my attention. This made for a great lunch! 🙂

Chicken sandwich – Souvla

Chicken sandwich - Souvla
Mary’s free range chicken, “Granch” dressing, fennel, navel orange, pickled red onion, pea shoots, mizithra cheese. $12
Souvla, San Francisco CA

I have to admit that this tasted great. I loved the moist spit-fired chicken and all the ingredients. I don’t know if I would continually fork up twelve bucks for one of these, but it makes for a yummy Greek sandwich every once in a while.

Zeos Blue Mak Lager - Souvla
Zeos Blue Mak Lager. $6

Philly cheesesteak – Charley’s Grilled Subs

Philly cheesesteak - Charley's Grilled Subs
Steak, grilled onions, green peppers, mushrooms and white American cheese, lettuce, tomato, jalapeno, banana peppers, pickles. Regular $7.99
Charley’s Grilled Subs, San Francisco CA

This really wasn’t what I expected when I ordered a philly cheesesteak. I enjoyed that there were a lot of veggies in there, but at the same time there was very little steak and cheese! And this really didn’t fill me up at all, so unless I have a coupon, I’m probably not going back.
