Margherita pizza – Una Pizza Napoletana

Margherita pizza - Una Pizza Napoletana
San Marzano tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella, extra-virgin olive oil, fresh basil, sea salt. $25
Una Pizza Napoletana, San Francisco CA

This tasted great, but I still wasn’t a fan of the thick doughy crust. The toppings were wonderful though. It was great watching the owner make all the pizzas though.

Eggs, salame, parmiggiano reggiano, buffalo mozzarella, extra-virgin olive oil, fresh garlic, fresh basil, black pepper, sea salt. $25
Una Pizza Napoletana, San Francisco CA

Um, I thought I’d like this pizza more because of all the hype. I mean, it was good but I guess it just wasn’t my style. The crust was too chewy and almost felt undercooked. I like the combination of toppings in the Apollonia though.

Sicilian style combo – Slice House

Sicilian style combo - Slice House
Pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce. Slice $6
Slice House, San Francisco CA

Wow, this slice was enough for a meal – it was super thick and filling! The crust was buttery and doughy and pretty good. I personally like thin crusts, but I still enjoyed eating this pizza.

Moto pizza – Ragazza

Moto pizza - Ragazza
With organic egg. $22
April 24, 2015.

I ordered this for delivery and by the time it arrived, it wasn’t very good. All the textures were off and definitely didn’t taste as good as if it was served fresh at the restaurant. Note to self: never order Ragazza pizza for delivery.

Mmm, the pizzas at Ragazza are amazing! I love their thin, chewy crusts and they use the best quality toppings. They also have a pick-up option, but that’s difficult when you don’t have a car, lol!

Roasted potato pizza – Sliver Pizzeria

Roasted potato pizza - Sliver Pizzeria
Roasted onion, mozzarella, Canadian cheddar cheese, oregano, parsley, thyme, olive oil. Slice $3

Mmm, the pizza here was really good! The crust was thin and had a great texture and all the ingredients tasted great, and definitely worth the three dollar price tag!

Meh, I was NOT impressed with this pizza. Perhaps it’s because I got it to-go and the crust got steamed, tough and chewy, and the toppings were congealed by the time I ate it at home. I think the flavors were good, but I guess I’ll have to go back and try this fresh from the pizza oven.

Formerly known as The Lloyd pizza - Ambrosia Pizza
Andouille sausage, Italian sausage, jalapenos, onions, cilantro, green onions. $16.50
Ambrosia Pizza, Kentfield CA

The owner was really great and came by our table several times! But I guess it helps that he knew my dining partner, lol! This pizza was great. I loved the toppings and the yummy crust. There a little mishap in getting our drinks (I think they forgot), but otherwise it was a great experience.
