Pans & Company, Barcelona SPAIN
This doughnut looked WAY better than it tasted. It actually tasted like cardboard. I was SO disappointed and kinda grossed out. Ew!

Slow rotisserie roasted pork with house made onion marmalade, fresh arugula, herbed sea salt and served on an Acme Bakery roll. $10.50
Roli Roti Gourmet Rotisserie, San Francisco CA
They’ve upped the price of this sandwich once again, but I still think it’s a great deal since it’s SO delicious and quite filling. This is still one of my favorite cheat lunches during the work week.

Sorbet de citron avec cava. Menu of the day €16.50
El Rincon de Pepe, Sitges SPAIN
This was a refreshing finale to a wonderful lunchtime meal on the Sitges beachfront. It was light and airy, and perfect for the warm weather.

With duck foie gras and mustard vinaigrette. €9
Paco Meralgo, Barcelona SPAIN
Mmm, this dish was SO good! The veal was sliced paper thin and it was so tasty along with the shaved foie gras and nutty cheese. I could eat this for days!

Chorizo, fried avocado, adobo chicken, taco de hongos, and beer-marinated steak. On organic corn tortilla, onion, cilantro relish, lime, and roasted tomatillo salsa. Taco Wednesday, each $2
The Castro Republic, San Francisco CA
I miss Taco Wednesdays at The Castro Republic! The tacos were so cheap, and yet they were of good quality and variety. Alas, I’ve moved to a neighborhood further away and have changed gyms. 😦

Snails.
Bar el David del Ninot, Barcelona SPAIN
Sorry! I forgot to take a pic until after eating these, lol! I loved the flavor of these snails. They were slightly pungent, but the stewy sauce that they were in was delicious and rich enough to stand up to the snail flavor.

Scallops and morcilla sausage. Each €1.50
Taktika Berri, Barcelona SPAIN
I thought that the scallop was pretty small and dry, but the blood sausage was delicious! It was succulent and had a wonderful flavor. Mmm…

Two 100% pure beef patties, lettuce, tomato, spread, two slices of American cheese on a freshly baked bun. Animal style with extra spread, pickles, and grilled onions. Add hot peppers.
In-N-Out Burger, MIll Valley CA
This burger always hits the spot! It’s the perfect combination of meaty, cheesy, saucy, and pickly. SO good!

Bread with tomato. €1.50
Bosque Palermo, Barcelona SPAIN
This was gross. There was SO much tomato, and the bread wasn’t toasted well so that it became a soggy mess. Yuck! I guess the food matches the service – horrible.

Fresh grilled shrimp with olive oil and sea salt. €17
Pinotxo Bar, Barcelona SPAIN
These large shrimp were expensive, but they were so fresh and delicious! I had a field day sucking on the heads for all the yummy juices. Noms!!

Marie Dufau Bas Armagnac, bourbon, Dandelion chocolate, ganache, organic milk. $12
Tosca Cafe, San Francisco CA
This boozy “cappuccino” was good, but I’m not convinced that it should be on the 7×7 Big Eat SF list. There are better cocktails in this city. Sometimes I wonder if 7×7 gets kickbacks from these restaurants to get items on their list. Hmm…

With shrimp, mussels, and clams. Menu of the day €16.50
El Rincon de Pepe, Sitges SPAIN
This dish was great! I almost liked it more than their paella. Again, this shows just a small portion of the entire dish that came out for only one person. The noodles were thin and soft, but still were able to retain a lot of the sauce. And the seafood was great too.
