Chicken, beef, and prawn. $12
Tao Yin Restaurant, San Francisco CA
This taste fine, but it was SO greasy! It was literally sitting in a pool of grease. I thought the proteins were cooked nicely, but I didn’t like everything coated in grease.

Truffle mayonnaise, red onion marmalade, pretzel roll, onion rings. $20
The Tropicale, Palm Springs CA
This burger was gigantic!!! Seriously, it was very large and I couldn’t imagine eating the entire thing. But surprisingly, it was very unfulfilling. It just didn’t come together for me.

Halal chicken, zesty orange glaze, avocado, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, banana peppers, jalapenos, and dirty sauce on Dutch crunch roll. $11.11
Ike’s Place, San Francisco CA
Omg, Ike’s sandwich always taste SO good to me! Maybe it’s all the sauces or the quality proteins, but I’ve always enjoyed their sandwiches.

Arroz con leche with quinoa, poached apple, candied almond. NYE tasting menu $175
Californios, San Francisco CA

With bbq sauce. $4.79
Jack in the Box, Palm Springs CA
I appreciate that these strips are sizable as fast food strips go and they taste pretty good. Anyway, once they’re dunked in the bbq sauce, they’re even better.

$9
Tao Yin Restaurant, San Francisco CA
This tasted pretty good. The exterior of the fried chicken pieces was quite hard though, but I liked the flavor of their sauce. The large veggie pieces was also a nice addition.

Hawaiian sugarloaf pineapple and sweet pineapple glaze. Part of Spencer’s Hot Appetizer Sampler $25
Spencer’s Restaurant, Palm Springs CA
These shrimp were over-fried and the crust was really hard and dry. Thank goodness for the pineapple glaze to add some moisture and soften them up a bit.

Assorted bread with butter.

Rice noodles, bean sprouts, scallions, cilantro and lime. $15
The Tropicale, Palm Springs CA
This “pho” tasted fine, but it lacked authentic Vietnamese flavor. It felt and tasted very Americanized so it didn’t quite hit the spot.

Focaccia bread. Complimentary

Halal hot link, jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, banana peppers, jalapenos, and dirty sauce on Dutch crunch roll. $9.99
Ike’s Place, San Francisco CA
This was a great sandwich. I was expecting the hot link to be bit more spicy, so I was a little disappointed that it lacked the heat. Other than that, I devoured this delicious meal!

Lettuce, mayo. $2.99
Jack in the Box, Palm Springs CA
I know this looks disgusting, but sometimes I crave these crappy fish sandwiches, lol!. They taste so good and go down easily even they have little to no nutritional value. 🙂

Northern Thai, kale. $13
Trove, Seattle WA
Again, this was another dish that I enjoyed the flavors from, but the salt level was astronomical! We could only eat a few bites before our tastebuds were shot.
