Eric’s spicy eggplant – Eric’s Restaurant

Eric's spicy eggplant - Eric's Restaurant
Eggplant with chicken, shrimp, red bell pepper, and basil in a special spicy sauce. $11.25
Eric’s Restaurant, San Francisco CA

I’ve always loved this dish at Eric’s. The sauce is super tasty and the combination of proteins and vegetables is wonderful. It can be oily, but that’s common for most Chinese places so I’m not gonna judge it too harshly. Only if it was overly oily and greasy.

Assorted dim sum – Good Mong Kok Bakery

Assorted dim sum - Good Mong Kok Bakery
Shrimp dumpling, chive and shrimp dumpling, beef crepe roll, chicken siu mai, shark fin dumpling.
Good Mong Kok Bakery, San Francisco CA

This was pretty good, and I’m glad that the dim sum wasn’t dry like some places. They were also on the larger side which was a bonus. I loved all the different flavors and you can’t beat the low prices. There was a line for lunch and it’s kind of intimidating to order though, lol.

Sesame paste noodles – Shan Dong Restaurant

Sesame paste noodles - Shan Dong Restaurant
Spicy. $10.50
Shan Dong Restaurant, Oakland CA

These handmade noodles were great and the sauce was super tasty! They certainly give you plenty of food too. We couldn’t possibly have eaten all of these at the restaurant so we were happy to take the remainder home. The service we receive was horrible though! Our server completely ignored us after we received our food and wouldn’t give us our check even after repeatedly trying to flag her down. #fail
