I know this isn’t a panini, but I forgot what they called it – oops! It tasted great though and I liked the buttery crust and the dense center.

With eggplant, Puglia ricotta, mozzarella, and tomato. €10
Caffe Degli Specchi, Genoa ITALY
Mmm, I loved this lasagna! It was SO cheesy-gooey and the sauce was delicious! I could’ve eaten an entire pan of this. NOMS!

$11
Mister Jiu’s, San Francisco CA
These were definitely different from regular pork buns with the Dutch crunch exterior. I really liked the pork filling, but I wasn’t sold on the exterior since it ended up on the dry side.

Tomatoes, stracchino cheese, pesto, basil. €9
Nessun Dorma, Manarola ITALY
Omg, this was delicious! And there was SO much of it! I loved the pesto and it the whole thing just tasted fresh and wonderful. The bread was also very hearty so it made for quite the meal.

House red wine.

With fried rice. 2-item lunch combo $7.30
New Ming’s Restaurant, San Francisco CA
I like their Szechuan eggplant, but it tends to be greasy (which I think makes it taste better but I’m a bad person, hehe). The Mongolian chicken was pretty good too, and not too salty.

Ham croquettes. Variat de tapes €15
El Berro, Barcelona SPAIN
I liked these. But then there are very few croquettes that I haven’t liked, especially those found in Spain. 🙂

€2.50
Bar Il Boccone, Pisa ITALY
This was a no-frills sandwich, but it was tasty. And the bartista was super friendly (and cute)! 🙂

Mary’s organic air-chilled chicken cooked in organic refined coconut oil organic spicy veggies on a toasted organic artisan bun with spicy bbq ranch. $9.99
The Organic Coup, San Francisco CA
Hmm, I liked that this sandwich (and restaurant) was all organic, but the chicken was kinda dry! The flavors were good enough but I couldn’t get past the over-cooked chicken.

Caffe Degli Specchi, Genoa ITALY
I wasn’t sure what some of these items were, but they all tasted great! I especially liked the jammy item on the right with the savory bread on top.

Early girl tomato, nastursium, lily bulb. $9
Mister Jiu’s, San Francisco CA
This fancy hot and sour soup was definitely non-traditional, but it tasted great with the same recognizable flavors of a normal hot and sour soup. I liked the subtle heat and the well developed flavors.

€3.95
La Taverna del Born, Barcelona SPAIN
Mmm, SO good! This large, deep fried risotto ball filled with cheese was delicious! I loved the beautiful color of the aioli on top too.

Happy hour $5
Aatxe, San Francisco CA
These pop-able bites were great to eat with the little canas of beer during happy hour. So much fun stuffing my face! 🙂
