Jimmy Nardello and shishito peppers – Tosca Cafe

Jimmy Nardello and shishito peppers - Tosca Cafe
Italian sweet peppers, red onion, farro, pickled chili. $10
Tosca Cafe, San Francisco CA

These were really tasty, and I actually really liked the farro in there. They added a nice texture and flavor to the peppers. Overall, I enjoyed the food at Tosaca Cafe, but our server was off. I felt like were either gonna do it her way, or she wasn’t having it. The timing was really off and she would disappear for long chunks.

Spicy tonkatsu ramen – Pao Jao Dumpling & Ramen

Spicy tonkatsu ramen - Pao Jao Dumpling & Ramen
Pork belly, boiled egg, spinach, chives, nori, bean sprouts, sliced red peppers. $11.95
Pao Jao Dumpling & Ramen, San Francisco CA

This was decent ramen, and I liked the slight heat from the spicy tonkatsu broth. I still don’t like their boiled eggs though. They seem old or have been sitting out for awhile.

Kale and brussels sprouts salad – Belcampo Meat Co.

Kale and brussels sprouts salad - Belcampo Meat Co.
Baby kale, mesclun, shaved brussels sprouts, walnuts, dried plums, honey-champagne vinaigrette. $14
Belcampo Meat Co., Larkspur CA

I didn’t think I would like this because it looked like rabbit food when it came out, but it was surprisingly delicious. I also didn’t mind that it was only lightly dressed. I thought I would need more dressing to hide all the leafy tastes, lol!
