Smokestack, San Francisco CA
Yeah, I didn’t like this very much. The slaw was super tart and it made my teeth hurt. I couldn’t really taste anything beyond the tartness of it. Not good.

Zucchini, bell peppers, asparagus. $5
Chicken Ranch, Palm Springs CA
These were great and a very good value. I liked that they pieces were large and the grill marks were perfect and I loved the char.

Cultured butter. Tasting menu $155
Lazy Bear, San Francisco CA
I don’t know how they make this bread, but it was frickin’ amazing! I don’t usually go on about a roll, but I could’ve eaten a half dozen of these. And the cultured butter was so silky and flavorful. NOMS!

Salami, sausage, anchovies, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions. $17.75
The Sausage Factory, San Francisco CA
I liked the flavors of this pizza, but it felt like the toppings were a bit undone. It was weird because the crust was cooked all the way through, but the toppings felt undercooked. Hmm…

Fra’Mani ham, english muffin, two eggs poached, hollandaise and spinach. Served with Plow potatoes. $17
Plow, San Francisco CA
This was delicious! I liked the fresh baked english muffins – they had a nice texture and were hearty enough to hold up to the toppings and hollandaise. The hollandaise was also lovely and wasn’t too heavy. Mmm…

Combination of shrimp, beef, chicken, sliced green chili, egg and onion. $9.95
Chada Thai Cuisine, Palm Springs CA
This was ok. I liked all the different proteins in there, but the rice was kinda dry and bland. Definitely not the best fried rice I’ve ever had.
