Prosciutto de parma, charred ciabatta bread, arugula. $16
SLS Las Vegas Hotel, Las Vegas NV
This was a nice and refreshing poolside salad. The combination of flavors was on point and the compressed melons had a fun texture. The prosciutto tasted great with the peppery arugula.

English cucumbers, vine ripe tomatoes, mint, cilantro topped with cellophane noodles, poached shrimp and served with peanut dressing.
SLS Las Vegas Hotel, Las Vegas NV
This salad was really refreshing. I wish there was less noodles and more greens though, but it was nicely presented.

Chicken, goat cheese, pears, candied pecans. $10
George’s Corner Restaurant, St. George UT
This chopped salad was pretty good. It wasn’t over-dressed and the ingredients were crisp and fresh.

Succulent chopped Maine lobster tossed with aioli, tarragon and a hint of lime, served in Belgian endive leaves. $14
Rene at Tlaquepaque, Sedona AZ
This tasted good, but I wish that there was more lobster. It tasted more like filler and the lobster was chopped so finely. I wish it was kept chunkier so I could tell it was actually lobster.

4-item Build Your Own Flight. $16

Thai papaya salad with mixed with dried shrimp, fresh garlic, chili, lemon and fish sauce. $7.50
Sai Jai Thai Restaurant, San Francisco
Um, I was NOT a fan of this. The papaya salad was good enough, but the salty crab was not my style. It was slimy and super hard. You couldn’t bite through it and I don’t think that there was much meat in there, so I’m not sure that it was even edible. I would have loved to have someone instruct me on how to eat those crab pieces.

Martinez Farms. 3 course tasting menu (earlybird) $35
Restaurant Gwendolyn, San Antonio TX
I loved this salad! The radishes were tasting and it had a great balance of fat, sweet, and tart. I also liked the large crouton, and the whole thing was dressed properly.

Romaine, feta, apple, daikon, piquillos, tortilla chips, oregano vinaigrette. $12
Arcade Midtown Kitchen, San Antonio TX
I thought this salad tasted great, but they frickin’ forgot the feta cheese! FAIL! The chicken was very tender, juicy, and flavorful though. The citrus and cilantro were refreshing and the variety of textures made this salad more exciting than your usual.

Tecate Light beer. $5

Chiffonade Tuscan kale and romaine lettuce, all natural diced chicken, grated Parmesan cheese, creamy Caesar dressing with sourdough garlic crisps. $8.59
Boudin Bakery and Cafe, San Francisco CA
My favorite part of the salads at Boudin are the sourdough garlic crisps – kinda fitting. 🙂 The addition of kale to this caesar was a nice change of pace.

Prix fix $45
Laurel Court Restaurant, San Francisco CA
I liked this salad. It was simple and delicious and the roasted vegetables were varied and tasty. What I didn’t like was the service from the front of the house – SO unprofessional and pathetic.

Bread and butter. Complimentary

$25.95
Anchor Oyster Bar, San Francisco CA
Mmm, this salad was amazing! It wasn’t over dressed and the crabmeat was SO fresh and delicious! It was definitely worth the elevated price tag. Noms!
