Ok, this was sad. I felt like my lil nephew put this together and tried to be fancy. The dry pieces of sourdough were especially disappointing. The spread itself was lifeless and uninspired.

This dish was very tasty and comforting, but I’m not sold on the eighteen dollar price tags especially since it was pretty small. The sweetbreads were cooked perfectly though and the grenobloise preparation was delicious. I also thought that the presentation was simple and attractive.

This was a lot of uni for me. As a sea urchin novice, I’m still trying to appreciate the taste and texture of this delicacy. I’ve had some bad uni in the past, so I’m always hesitant and sometimes scared to try more. I felt like Monsieur Benjamin wouldn’t serve bad quality uni, so I gave it a go. It tasted great, but some of the pieces were on the verge of too slimy for me. I probably would have been happy with just the piece on top.

Lamb riblets for an appetizer?! Never had it, but knew I’d love it. The lamb flavor was amazing and the harissa and raita were great sauce accompaniments. Noms!

I guess this restaurant was ok, but they doubled charged us on an item. Lame! These crab cakes were quite large, but I’m not sure how a Dendrobium flower works with an Italian restaurant.

Mmm, these fried lil potato balls were SO good! I could probably have eaten another order all by myself. They were nicely cooked too and not greasy which is difficult to do with grated potatoes. NOMS!

I thought that this plate was pretty, but there wasn’t much food on it. It was really just one squid with some different sauces splashed on. Nevertheless, the squid was nicely cooked and tasty.
