Specialty cocktail and pretzels – Virgin Atlantic

Specialty cocktail and pretzels - Virgin Atlantic
A tasty fusion of fruit juices and vodka, Penn State sour cream and chive flavour mini pretzels. Complimentary
London (LHR) to San Francisco (SFO), Virgin Atlantic

This was the “welcome” snack as we departed London. I think they offer you vodka even in Economy so you can calm down, fall asleep, and not bother the airline attendants. I watched more movies on this flight than I would normally watch over 4 months, lol!

Plane ride home from London

Bye, bye London! On the plane headed home and dreading the 9+ hour flight.

Breakfast bagel – Virgin Atlantic

Breakfast bagel - Virgin Atlantic
Served with Schreiber neufchatel (lite cream cheese), Nature Valley granola bar, Ardmore orange juice, and coffee. Complimentary.
San Francisco (SFO) to London (LHR), Virgin Atlantic

When I opened the breakfast box I thought that it might be an egg and cheese sandwich, but it was only a plain bagel. Oh well. I was happy with anything after being in the air for over 9 hours!

Chocolate Oreo pudding – Virgin Atlantic

Chocolate Oreo pudding - Virgin Atlantic

Dessert and coffee service. Complimentary.
San Francisco (SFO) to London (LHR), Virgin Atlantic

I’m not a big pudding fan, and this didn’t change my mind. The texture of pudding is SO off-putting for me that I can’t get past it most of the time. The Oreo cookie bits were also really soft in this thing. Not a fan of this one. I love the multilingual coffee cup though!

Braised beef and mashed potatoes – Virgin Atlantic

Braised beef and mashed potatoes - Virgin Atlantic
With peas and carrots, caesar salad and a roll with Land O’Lakes “Fresh Buttery Taste Spread”. Complimentary.
San Francisco (SFO) to London (LHR), Virgin Atlantic

Braised beef and mashed potatoes - Virgin Atlantic
It’s always fun to go on a long international flight to see what the airlines are serving these days since we all know that the domestic flights don’t provide much (especially in coach, lol). I’ll have to admit that I was impressed. The beef wasn’t overly salty and the rest did its job and got me full enough to sleep for a bit.

Snacks – Southwest Airlines

Project 365: Day 58

Yay, flying to Columbus Ohio to celebrate Codes’ birthday. I have mixed feelings at this point because I should really stay home, save money, and not eat and drink so much this close to the cruise but Codes is one of my best friends so I’m also glad to fly out to celebrate with him. I have an early flight so I land in Columbus around 4:30pm. It’ll be great seeing him family and “eclectic” group of friends, hehe!

Snacks Southwest Airlines

Diet Coke, Original Wheat Thins, lightly salted nuts. Complimentary
