Bun bo hue – Little Saigon

Bun bo hue - Little Saigon
Hue style spicy noodle soup with tendon, sliced pork ball, and blood cubes. $7.25
Little Saigon, South San Francisco CA

Hadn’t had this type of soup before but I really liked it! The broth was rich abd amazing and the ingredients were different enough to make it interesting. I will say that there were a lot of blood cubes in there – too many for me to comfortably finish. But the tendon and pork balls were yummy enough to finish.

Puerto house margarita – Puerto Alegre

Puerto house margarita - Puerto Alegre
House margarita made with well tequila and lime. Pitcher $20
Puerto Alegre, San Francisco CA

These margaritas aren’t THAT good, but people seem to like them. I personally think they’re on the bland side and over priced. The service was also super slow during this visit.

Chips and salsa - Puerto Alegre

“Da Kine” combo – Roy’s

Da Kine combo - Roy's
Szechuan spiced baby back pork ribs and firecracker teppan-yaki local shrimp, Malaysian garlic fried rice, pea shoots. $35
Roy’s, Waikoloa HI

Mmm, now this is what I call surf and turf! Ribs and whole shrimp, noms! My favorite part was the shrimp of course because you could suck on the heads – heavenly. The ribs were also tasty, but the sauteed cabbage and bok choy were plain and forgettable.
