With damson plum preserve and creme fraiche. $6
20th Century Cafe, San Francisco CA
Mmm, these were really good. The pierogi were great, but I really loved the plum preserve. Along with the creme fraiche, the condiments really made this dish.

Chilled parsnip puree, porcini salt, citrus, hazelnuts and toasted bread. $12
Marlowe, San Francisco CA
Omg! This plate looks simple (and perhaps boring), but it was frickin’ amazing! The mix of flavors and textures was absolutely perfect. I love burrata already, but all the accompaniments worked great together to create this scrumptious plate. Noms!

Salsa chicken with New Mexico red chile sauce, picadillo beef with meat sauce, served with black beans, rice, salad, and sweet corn tomalito. $11.79
Chevys Fresh Mex, San Francisco CA
Mmm, enchiladas are my favorite. These were ok, but the plate was large and filled me up (I actually didn’t finish and took the rest to-go). I do love their little sweet corn cakes though. I’m sure its all butter and oil, but that’s why they taste so good.

Strawberry lemonade. $2.99
