The Liberties, San Francisco CA
I wasn’t a fan of this pizza. It didn’t taste bad per se, but the crust was too dense and flour-y tasting for me.

Piggly Wiggly: red sauce, mozzarella, smoked bacon, roast garlic, mushroom, tomato, 4 cheeses. Meat Combo: pepperoni, hot sausage, black olives, onion, mozzarella. Each $3
Bill’s Pizza, Palm Springs CA
There’s something really comforting about the combination of hot melted mozzarella and greasy pepperoni, lol! I guess that’s why I loved the meat combo slice. 🙂

Sunrise in the desert.

The Elton John: garlic, diced tomato, red onion, cooked spinach, artichoke, 4 cheeses. Piggly Wiggly: red sauce, mozzarella, smoked bacon, roast garlic, mushroom, tomato, 4 cheeses. Each $3
Bill’s Pizza, Palm Springs CA
These large slices tasted great, especially at three bucks a pop! The ingredient combinations worked really well, and I particularly liked the Piggly Wiggly slice.

Rainmaker Fountain, North Palm Canyon Drive.

Mozzarella, garlic, pepperoni, linguica, calabrese peppers, serrano and banana peppers, pork chorizo, green onions, cholula, ricotta. $5
Tony’s Slice House, San Francisco CA
Ugh, this slice wasn’t very good. It was super dry and probably sitting around for a while. They heated it up, but I think that just dried it out even more. Yuck! I guess the flavors were there, but it tasted most like dry cardboard.

Fort Funston Park.

Oz Pizza, San Francisco CA
Another late night slice before heading home, lol! These greasy, cheesy slices are SO delicious after a night of partying. I know this isn’t the best pizza ever, but it sure tastes like it, hehe.

War Memorial Opera House. I love the ballet!

Capers, olives, onion, anchovy, mozzarella. $17
Etto, Washington DC
Mmm, this was delicious! I usually don’t like a lot of char on my pizza crusts, but this wasn’t bitter in the least. The toppings were also wonderful and tasted great. It must be good if I can eat the entire pizza by myself in one sitting. Perfect!

Lambrusco di Sorbara, Chiarli, 2013. $8

National Harbor MD.

Steak, cheese, whiz.
Soho Pizza, Philadelphia PA
I liked the thin crust of this pizza, but the toppings weren’t that great. The beef was dry and the slice wasn’t heated enough. Apparently this place has since closed, and I can see why.

Caffe Bene, New York NY
Ugh, this isn’t what I really wanted to eat, but it was convenient and I was starving. The focaccia wasn’t very good and the toppings were over re-heated and hard. The service here was also laughable. Nobody new what they were doing and they were SO frickin’ slow!

Classic New York city coffee cup.

Times Square.

Mozzarella, anchovy, red onion, thyme. $15
Marta, New York NY
Now this was a delicious pizza! The crust was perfectly thin and chewy and toppings were great. They were simple and of really great quality. A perfect combination that made for a yummy meal. NOMS!

Came to Manhattan to visit some friends for the weekend and arrived late on a Friday night. It was direct to the bars and clubs, and of course greasy pizza afterward, lol! I don’t really remember the specific qualities of this slice, but I’m sure I enjoyed it in the moment. 🙂
