Pans & Company, Barcelona SPAIN
This doughnut looked WAY better than it tasted. It actually tasted like cardboard. I was SO disappointed and kinda grossed out. Ew!

Sorbet de citron avec cava. Menu of the day €16.50
El Rincon de Pepe, Sitges SPAIN
This was a refreshing finale to a wonderful lunchtime meal on the Sitges beachfront. It was light and airy, and perfect for the warm weather.

Cream puff filled with vanilla custard. $2.90
Beard Papa’s, San Francisco CA
I haven’t had a Beard Papa cream puff in a while, but I think they changed the recipe or something. The vanilla cream filling had a different texture than what I came to expect, and frankly, I didn’t like it as much.

Bittersweet and milk chocolate pudding, whipped cream, biscotti. $9
Waxman’s Restaurant, San Francisco CA
This was a simple dessert, but very tasty. The silky texture of the pudding was lovely, and paired perfectly with the crispy biscotti and smooth whipped cream.

Single $3.85
Noble Folk Ice Cream & Pie Bar, Healdsburg CA
I liked this ice cream. It wasn’t too dense or milky, and I loved the unique flavors. How can you go wrong with coffee and donuts?! I thought the price was on the upper end for a scoop of ice cream though.

Brown butter semifreddo. $9
Waxman’s Restaurant, San Francisco CA
This was really homey and delicious. It wasn’t too sweet, but the apples were ripe and tasty. Mmm…

Pineapple soft serve frozen dessert. Small $3.45
Lappert’s Ice Cream, Palm Springs CA
Mmm, this was the first time I’ve tried Dole whip and I thought it was great! Most go to Hawaii or Disneyland, but I found it in Palm Springs! Next time I’m in Hawaii I’ll have to keep my eyes open for it (without having to go to the Dole plantation).

Watermelon. Prix fixe dinner $29.50
Hearth Coffee Roasters, San Francisco CA
I liked this dessert enough, but the panna cotta tasted a bit chemical-y. I liked the texture of it, but the flavor was a lil off.

Coffee ice cream with chocolate fudge, coconut, and macadamia nuts. Regular $4.15
Lappert’s Ice Cream, Palm Springs CA
This ice cream was delicious. I loved all the flavors and the texture of it. My scoop was a little melty, but I didn’t mind.

With blueberries. Prix fixe dinner $29.50
Hearth Coffee Roasters, San Francisco CA
I liked the pound cake and blueberry sauce, but the creme anglaise had a weird consistency and tasted off.

This dessert was simple and delicious. The cake was moist and the strawberries were ripe and sweet. Yes please!

Caramel, shortbread, burnt wood semifreddo. $12
Ink, Los Angeles CA
This dessert tasted good, but the funnest part was the semifreddo globe. It was fun to break open and mix in with all the other ingredients.
